  1. Bloomington South 42 Columbus North 7 (0:30, 2nd) South picked the Bull Dogs again and scored in 3 plays on a TD pass to Gavin Adams.
  2. Bloomington South 35 Columbus North 7 (1:08, 2nd) The Panthers scored on a 31-yard TD run by Gavin Adams to extend their lead before the half.
  3. Bloomington South 28 Columbus North 7 (2:15, 2nd) South picked CN at the South 49-yard line and the Panthers didn't waste any time driving down the field scoring on a 9-yard TD pass.
  4. Bloomington South 21 Columbus North 7 (6:05, 2nd) After the Bull Dogs scored, the Panthers didn't waste any time moving down the field on 4 plays for 80 yards. A 43-yard pass to the TE Tysen Smith set up a 23-yard TD pass to D'Andre Black.
  5. Bloomington South 14 Columbus North 7 (7:34, 2nd) The Bull Dog QB scored on a keeper.
  6. Bloomington South 14 Columbus North 0 (start of 2nd) A 24-yard pass to D'Andre Black set up a 3-yard TD run by Gavin Adams for South.
  7. Bloomington South 7 Columbus North 0 (1:09, 1st) The Panthers scored on their second trip into North territory scoring on a 34-yard TD pass to D'Andre Black. South drove down to the Bull Dog 9-yard line on their first possession, but a holding call and a botched hold on a FG try killed that drive.
  8. You may be correct. The playoffs will take care of any debate on it. To be honest, I don't think North is better that South, and there's a good chance they may meet again in the sectionals.
  9. In the coaches 5A poll, North has moved into the No. 1 position followed by Snider at No. 2, and South is third. I assume the AP poll will probably be similar.
  10. A minor correction on my picks. I referred to TH South as the Patriots instead of the Braves. I thought I would go ahead and make the correction in case any Braves fans get heartburn over calling them the Patriots.
  11. My picks for Week 7: Bloomington South @ Columbus North - This will be a competitive game and despite it being on the road, South is the more experienced team. I see at 10-14 point win on the road for the Panthers. Columbus East @ Bloomington North - The Olympians are having another down season and just lost to Floyd Central 28-3 at home. I can't see them going to North and winning there. There's a good chance that North could finish the regular season at 9-0. I see North winning by 3-4 TDs. Brebeuf Jesuit @ Terre Haute South - The Patriots are coming off a much-needed win over previously unbeaten Northview, but Brebeuf is another one of those solid parochial schools out of the Indy area. Brebeuf is coming off of a 16-point win over a good Roncalli team, and their two losses are to Chatard and Guerin Catholic who have a combined 10-2 record. I see Brebeuf winning this game by at least 3 TDs. Terre Haute North @ Southport - This is a showdown over who can come up with their first win of the season and probably their only win of the season. The Cardinals have lost big in every game this season, but they have at least scored (20 points against Roncalli) in all of those games until they were shutout for the first time by the South Panthers this past Friday. The Patriots can't say that, having been shutout in three games this season so far. I'm going with the Cardinals as the home team by 10-14 points.
  12. Pick'em results for Week 6: ptr (3-1) - 18-3 LC_Bears_04 (4-0) - 17-4 Frozen Tundra (3-1) - 17-4 Bulldog15 (3-1) - 16-5 MuleDriver (2-2) - 14-7 THPD262 (4-0) - 13-2 (Weeks 3 thru 6) Week 7 games: Bloomington South @ Columbus North Columbus East @ Bloomington North Brebeuf Jesuit @ Terre Haute South Terre Haute North @ Southport
  13. I have to believe that South would have won that game against the Cougars if not for the bad snaps. The Cougars got 10 of their 17 points in regulation after a series by South that included snaps over the head, including one that pinned them against their own goal line setting up an easy score for the Cougars after a punt from the back of the end zone. But that's football and mistakes are a big part of it. The Panthers had their left guard go down in the 1st qtr against Southport, and it appeared to be an ankle issue. He had to hop off the field with help while keeping his right leg elevated.
  14. Columbus North 35 Terre Haute North 0 (final) This sets up a showdown between Terre Haute North and Southport as to who is going to get their first win of the season and probably their only win of the season.
  15. Bloomington North 49 New Albany 14 (final) The Cougars move to 6-0 for the very first time ever.
  16. Bloomington South 59 Southport 0 (final) Quick 2nd half and the Panthers got every available player in the game although the running clock prevented them from seeing many downs.
  17. Bloomington South 59 Southport 0 (under 5 minutes, 4th) The Panthers are sticking to the ground with their backups, but they score on another fairly long run.
  18. Bloomington South 52 Southport 0 (end of 3rd) With the running clock and the backups in there, backup RB Ben Morrison had a run of about 53 yards to put the ball on the Southport one-yard line with South scoring as the 3rd qtr came to the end. Southport is sticking with their starters right now.
  19. Bloomington North 42 New Albany 7 (6:03, 3rd) With a running clock, the Bulldogs reached the end zone for their first score of the game.
  20. Columbus North 20 Terre Haute North 0 (end of 1st) The Patriots were sacked four times in the 1st qtr, lost a fumble, and had a punt blocked.
  21. Bloomington South 45 Southport 0 (half) Obvious running clock to start the 2nd half with the Panthers receiving the ball to start the 3rd. Southport has just one first down in the first half and that came on a trick pass play.
  22. Bloomington North 42 New Albany 0 (half) Running clock for the 2nd half.
  23. Bloomington North 42 New Albany 0 (2:09, 2nd) It's going to be a running clock to start the 2nd half unless the Bulldogs can come up with two TDs over the last 2 minutes of the half. Bloomington South 38 Southport 0 (2:28, 2nd)
  24. Bloomington South 31 Southport 0 (4:47, 2nd)
  25. Bloomington South 24 Southport 0 (8:48, 2nd) RB Gavin Adams got his 2nd rushing TD of the game for the Panthers.
