  4. You're not wrong. The current location of the school is a complete train wreck right on a narrow HWY 31. The fact that all those new developments are going in along 403, which runs right into 31 in front of the school, makes it 10 times worse. They should've found a new spot to put the school. That or convince the county and town to completely redesign 31/403. Don't get me wrong, their new facilities will be top notch, but it won't be built to withstand the amount of potential students they could have.

  7. Coach Hess said most of it pretty well, but get over yourself, man. It's high school sports. Not college or pro. Stop making it like it's a big deal. To most people who don't play, coach or aren't parents, it's really not. You have no reason to be "mad." They're high school kids. They have a lot more on their mind that football. Leave them alone and the guys who are trying to help mold them. Stop coming on here after every loss and complaining. It is what it is.
  8. Bedford NL at New Albany Floyd Central at Seymour Jennings County at Columbus East Mount Vernon at Jeffersonville
  9. Yes. MV beat them last year 35-13. MV does have to travel to Jeff this year, so that could impact it some since it is a haul. But Jeff has struggled so I think it's certainly possible.
  10. For sure. I think Crawford's coach used to be the head coach at SD, so that is probably how it got arranged.
  11. Crawford County at South Decatur Mitchell at Eastern Greene Perry Central at Paoli West Washington at Springs Valley Brownstown at Salem Corydon at Scottsburg North Harrison at Charlestown Silver Creek at Eastern Pekin
  12. They would have had to move to this side of the river. If they relocated, then the transfer would have been approved. Students from out of state are not allowed to attend Indiana public schools even if they're not an athlete.

  16. Yes, all of that is. From the Clark/Floyd line all the way west to the 111/60 intersection and east to the 403/Salem Noble Road intersection. Just north of Memphis for the northern border. The whole area is absolutely booming with development as Sparks said. To the west is Borden, north is Henryville and east is Charlestown. Borden and Henryville used to be a part of their district, but are now a combined district separate from Creek.
  17. FC was an independent from 67-69, then was a member of the MSC from 70-75. They've been in the HHC since.
  18. Clarksville at West Washington Corydon at Paoli Crawford County at Eastern Pekin Forest Park at Perry Central Mitchell at Springs Valley Charlestown at Brownstown Salem at Silver Creek Scottsburg at North Harrison
  19. Yes, Bell County beat North Laurel 42-35. I had heard a while back that Jeff needed a new opponent. I guess we still don't know why, but it gave Bell enough time to find another opponent.
  20. Bloomington South at New Albany Jeffersonville at Bell County (Ky.) Jennings County at South Dearborn Louisville Male (Ky.) at Floyd Central Martinsville at Bedford NL Seymour at Greenwood Whiteland at Columbus East Ouch... not a lot of faith in the ol' HHC this week.
  21. That week 5 for Salem was Clarksville. They weren't going to play last year until Clarksville's newly scheduled week 5 couldn't play (I can't remember who it was). Salem was unable to fill it. Seems like a good match to fill an open week with SV.
  22. Boonville at Paoli Eastern Pekin at West Washington Edgewood at Mitchell Springs Valley at Eastern Greene Switzerland County at Crawford County Tell City at Perry Central Brownstown at Corydon North Harrison at Salem Scottsburg at Clarksville Silver Creek at Charlestown I think there are lots of close calls this week. It is usually that way at the beginning of the year, but lots of these games could go either way. Good luck to everyone.
  23. You hate that for the program, but it also really puts a lot of teams in a pinch at the last minute. I hope the teams are able to fill their open weeks. I did see at least Clarksville was able to fill their open date with Greenwood Christian. Salem has week 5 open and now so does South Decatur. Maybe that could work out.
  24. Thanks, Coach May. That is an overwhelming amount of support from all of the people who should be the most important in the decision making process when it comes to this stuff. How the IHSAA is unable to recognize this is quite unfortunate.
