  1. I realize the river schools will never get much love from you guys in the central. This coming from the same guy that thinks FC losing their #8 WR is gonna set them back.
  2. I agree with this take. But Floyd Central should dominate the HHC this season. Their pipeline is looking pretty good too from what I’ve heard. I wasn’t a big fan of that Vogel guy so a new coach at East may flip them back towards the top of their region.
  3. I’m not sure about the contract situation? I can ask Coach B the next time I see him. I don’t remember him and I follow them pretty intently. They’re pretty loaded this season so I think they’ll be fine. Where did he transfer to?
  4. He didn’t even play last year. Lol. That team is like 6-7 deep at WR. Probably the deepest position on the entire team.
  5. Yeah. We should have a decent chance vs some of these teams. And they’re very good programs. I’m excited about it.
  6. Are you going to answer this? Who Is Baird? I know most of the roster, and I’ve never heard of him?
  7. Columbus East has done this for years! Losing who? Also, FC was pretty Junior laden last season.
  8. I have genuinely always viewed South as a school with very good athletics. As a supporter of Floyd Central football, I welcome them because we haven’t been able to compete with them in football and playing them every season might help us level up and hopefully be able to be competitive with them someday.
  9. I like Lawrence County. I'd live there. Bedford is a nice town.
  10. I don't get it. Are people moving out of Lawrence County. That seems like a place they could grow.
  11. My point was that people are always saying "You guys are good in Golf and Tennis." I mean they don't win State Championships very often in anything but they do win a lot of Sectionals and Regionals.
  12. This country club sports crap with FC that you have going on, needs to stop. It's an insult. They may have the most successful athletics dept in Southeast Indiana.
  13. What would stop South from joining the HHC? It seems like they would be a Geographic fit and also highly competitive in this conference.
  14. Bloomington South has better athletes than what we have down here. I think Floyd Central and some other schools matchup with them in a lot of sports but not Football and at times, not basketball.
  15. Their basketball talent falls off after next season. Although I'm sure some kids will transfer over there. I can't say anything negative about that or it would be the pot calling the kettle black.
  16. Yeah that's a fair point. I hope it happens. But I know it's not a done deal yet.
  17. New Albany hired Marc Clark. He was the OC at Louisville Male last year. Has been the HC at Hopkinsville HS and Mccracken County, Ky with mixed results. It seems like the HHC has had some coaching upgrades and with Bloomington South joining, hopefully the conference will improve. 5A football in Indiana might be the worst class right now.
  18. Interesting hire. Coach Bragg and him are really good friends. He had some really good success when he took over for John Dablow but they fell off a bit. I imagine his talent will be a little better than what it was at Creek.
  19. I'm actually impressed by Jennings County. Until this season they had beaten us in Girls basketball like 5 years in a row. Their men's basketball probably splits with us over a 10 year period. Their baseball and softball teams have played competitively. I think Jennings County does very well for the resources they have.
  20. I'm saying that they are more competitive in HHC athletics than New Albany is and New Albany is every bit as well funded as Floyd Central is considering the school board is very pro-New Albany. It's actually been an argument here I.O. They give New Albany half of the football revenue even though Floyd Central accounts for like 70-75% of it.
  21. I can make an argument that Jennings County has been better in Athletics the past 10 years than New Albany has.
  22. I would think so. Floyd Central swept the conference pretty easily and got routed up in Bloomington. We're improving, but not on their level yet.
