  1. East. JC looks improved a little bit. Still room to grow. Fern Creek. Jeffersonville is pretty bad right now and Creek usually has a decent team. BNL. New Albany will make it tough for some reason. BNL will pull it out in the end. Floyd Central. I’m going with my gut here. With the homefield factor and revenge factor going, I think FC will win a close one.
  2. I’ll do my picks on Thursday. I’m focused on the Floyd Central-Seymour game today. This game is about as much of a toss up as you can get. This should be the two best offenses in the conference. Seymour throws it a little better, and Floyd probably runs it a little better. Robertson seems like more of a dual threat than Perry is. Seymour is deep in receiving options with Johnson, Pennington, Hileman and others. Robertson will throw it mainly to Kaiser or Harritt. Bernardi gets touches too. I don’t think either team has impressed defensively so far. I think Floyd Central has a good front 7 led by Sam Lockhart who was Jr All-State last season. They have a pretty good sized D-Line. Seymour seems like they have some good players in their secondary. Jaylan Johnson is certainly a good defensive player.
  3. Probably around 400. But they’ve already played the hardest and 3rd hardest team on their schedule. He puts up a lot of rushing and receiving yards.
  4. I was told, that was Floyd Centrals freshman team playing that game.
  5. I would say FC and Seymour will definitely put up some points. FC is hard to run the ball against. But their pass defense has been an issue. If they clean that area up, they could run the table.
  6. Oh I’m not. They’ll be in the mix. They’re all 3 good offensive teams. They all 3 have a good 3rd year starting QBs. They both have good WRs with size. FCs advantage is they have a superior RB to both teams. Bernardi might be an All State candidate.
  7. Floyd Central vs Seymour could very well be the game of the year in the HHC. It feels like they’re the 2 best teams.
  8. I’ll recap the FC-Creek game later. But my goodness, was our offense clicking.
  9. Ok. My picks. Im taking Seymour. Very good football team. East doesn’t seem to have much firepower right now. Should be a big game for Perry. I’m taking BNL. Jeffersonville isn’t good. It’s amazing that a school with around 2000 students and a lot of them being big and athletic, and they can’t field a decent football team. The HHC would be more interesting if they could. Im taking New Albany. Jennings County looks better. But the teams they’ve played so far are extremely bad. New Albany has played a really good Franklin team and the 3A State Champion in Kentucky with multiple D-1 recruits. New Albany will squeak one out tomorrow. Im taking Floyd Central by a large margin. This team seems to be turning the corner. They’ve got it all on offense. Experienced QB, a RB that can beat you with power or speed, a big offensive line, and tall WRs with speed. This will be a good tune up for the big showdown at home with Seymour next week.
  10. It would take a great coach looking for a hard challenge. Unfortunately that happens about slim to none in the real world.
  11. I think we can all agree, as far as Indiana goes, there aren’t many places better to visit than Brown County. I could easily see myself living there.
  12. I wonder why they’re so bad? Nashville should have some decent kids up there. I guess the culture is bad.
  13. I’m pretty happy for Coach Bragg this morning. He’s worked hard and he needed a win like that. He said this team had better leadership than the past 2 seasons and it showed last night. To call a trick play with 1 second left in the game to win was a gutsy call. I told you all about this Isaac Kaiser, 6”4 and he out leaped about 3 guys to get the game winner.
  14. The teams they played are pretty bad but they’ve definitely improved. No longer an easy win on anyone’s schedule.
  15. Floyd Central won that game the exact way they lost the Seymour game last season. Nonetheless, it’s a win our program needed BADLY. Floyd Central has a pretty good offense with some good weapons but their pass defense is struggling. I’m not sure why because there are experience DBs in that secondary. If they don’t get that solved the game against Seymour in a few weeks could be a game in the 40s.
  16. Floyd Central up 27-13 over Terre Haute South in the 4th Qtr. FCs offense has been really solid.
  17. FC and THS is tied at 13 at Half. FCs offense looks good. But their pass defense has some issues. They’ve given up some long TD passes.
  18. Brown County might be the worst team in Southern Indiana.
  19. Bad deal for Floyd Central. Lost a home game where it looked like they’d have a pretty good crowd on hand. Now at BNL, it’s a crapshoot. I felt confident that Floyd would win tonight. It’s obvious that BNL is close.
  20. It looks like FC and THS will be cancelled. I’m sure there won’t be any make up either.
  21. Yep. Not an easy place to win. I have some family attending the school and athletics can be a struggle there. I agree with that! Ok, let’s call it, the “Northern South.” 😆
  22. Bloomington North. BNL has a good team though. JC. Panthers by a lot. CAL. They’ll name their score against NA. Columbus North. They’ll win the battle of Columbus. Seymour. The Owls will win big. They have a really good team. FC. I think my Highlanders will get it done at home. THS is nothing to write home about and Floyd Central had moments of competitiveness against one of the best teams in the Midwest.
  23. I see where Salem and Brian Glesing lost 35-7 to North Harrison this past Friday. Leaving Floyd Central hasn’t been a successful move yet.
