  1. I heard today that Blair Thompson, the former Salem HS HC is now on Floyd Centrals staff. That’s a good pickup for coach Bragg, he’s a good coach. He had some good seasons there. Coincidentally after he stepped down he was replace by Brian Glesing. Lol.
  2. Just a guess. I would think in this conference, that’s a common quote. Big fan of Memphis Louden and Cal Gates.
  3. Yeah they’re good. They may win the HHC. They beat us 13-10 up there last year. They’re hard to move the ball on.
  4. I mean, hired from within the program. Coach Bragg is from Illinois but he’s been around here for quite a while and was with coach Glesing. Same with coach Cooley. He’s been around here for a while and was with coach Fields at NA. I thought I had read that Barker was an Asst for Steve Weber?
  5. You’re not wrong. And there’s nothing saying that coach Moore or coach Bragg won’t be successful. I think this season will tell a lot.
  6. Bragg, Cooley, Barker, Vogel, and Parker were for sure guys who were elevated. I thought Moore was a guy who was elevated when their previous coach left. So, that’s on me for bad information.
  7. 2024 Season look ahead Im not going to put out an order of finish because I don’t see much separation between several teams. I feel confident that between BNL, East, FC, and Seymour, that one of those 4 teams will most likely be conference champs. It doesn’t mean the other 3 can’t suprise, but it’s not expected. BNL-Maybe the deepest team coming back. Louden, Hughes, Bates, Gates, Childs. They bring back all of their skill guys. Barker is a good coach. They’ll be up at the top. East-They have come back to the pack. It was expected after the loss of one of the best coaches in Indiana history. FC-After 2 mediocre seasons, I’m hoping this is the bounce back season. Robertson is a 3 year starter at QB, Bernardi back at RB, an experienced OL, several athletic WRs, and an All State LB, I’m hoping for a conference and sectional championship this season. Jeffersonville-Coach Parker has made them more disciplined but they are a long way away from being competitive. You’d think that having 2200 students would give them plenty to work with? You’d think? Jennings County-They were better last season. They beat us up there. If they get to .500, then they’ve round a gem at HC. New Albany-Coach Cooley is a veteran HC and a really good offensive mind. But they’re still trying to replace that generational class they had. They have a lot of good athletes at New Albany so they’ll find some good skill guys, but their football program has a ways to go, going down to the lower levels. Seymour-Could be the best of the bunch. Perry is a rock solid QB. Their WRs Pennington and Hilleman are really good. They get their TE Jaylan Johnson back. They’ll have the best passing game in the conference IMO. Well coached team. Thanks for the correction. I thought I had heard he was from within the program.
  8. It’s James Bragg. But overall records don’t mean much to me. I think Tyson Moore at Seymour is very good. But one thing I’ve noticed is, that none of these programs have hired their current HC from outside the school.
  9. I’m not saying we’d win everytime. Brownstown is good. I’m just saying that’s a team that I would like on the schedule. Coach Bragg was telling me, when they’ve tried to schedule 3A teams, people act like they’d be scheduling Cathedral. One coach from Kentucky said “You guys play teams like Male and Manual, so there is no way we’d compete with you.” 😆. Perspective is everything.
  10. Buddy, you can bring Brownstown down here anytime you want. They’ve been trying to find matchup opponents for a while but nobody but Silver Creek will agree to play them so they’re forced to schedule Louisville and Terra Haute teams.
  11. You need to go dance around Bulleitt Stadium. Why don’t you meet us this fall? At least I had the balls to go talk to FCs coaching staff.
  12. That was a pretty awful team. We couldn’t score on anyone that season.
  13. That game was more of a 3 score game. Unless we count the garbage time TD with 30 seconds left. “Following a scoreless third period, the Highlanders put the game away midway through the fourth quarter with a 52-yard scoring drive. Andrew Gibson pounded it in from the 5 to cap the march and put Floyd up 27-7 with 6:24 left. The Dragons added a late touchdown — with less than a minute left— on a 1-yard run by Wyatt Hoffman.”
  14. Neither team was that good. But I haven’t been impressed with Silver Creek the 3 times I’ve seen them. But I guess as terrible as the HHC is, they’d compete in it.
  15. Very similar. They need to win more games. They have talent.
  16. Buddy, that 2021 FC team was their worst team in 15 years.
  17. Last years game looked like Varsity vs JV. Floyd Central had losing records the past 2 seasons and played the entire season without their best player. This years team should be good so we will see how SC matches up with them.
  18. Floyd was average at best last season and blew them out of the water. Silver Creek looked pretty small. Reminded me of Madison.
  19. Floyd Centrals 98 team was their best team. They lost in the Regional to the Otis Shannon Cathedral team by like 8 points. My cousin was the top WR on the team. They had All State RB Kyle Samons who ended up walking on at Louisville. Todd Bertrand was a really good QB. They had like 3 guys on their OL that were at least 6”3 300 Lbs. I believe guys on that team made up the state Powerlifting Championship team. All those guys were jacked. Best coach was Ron Wiegleb. I mean the stadium is named after him. Never got to State but had a lot of consistently good teams. Best player was Kyle Bramble. He was a one man wrecking crew. Ridiculous athlete. I heard he’s like a Bio-Chemical Engineer now. The dude won the gene lottery.
  20. I can’t complain too much about the schedule. This is the most favorable schedule that I can remember FC having. No Louisville Male or Manual. Unfortunately a road game at St X which is tough. Home games against Terre Haute South, BNL, Seymour, JC, and Silver Creek. Road games against St X, East, NA, and Jeffersonville. I’d take that every season. Our fans barely have to travel.
