Nah. You’re entitled to your opinion man. I’ve been on record saying you don’t have enough respect for Floyd Central athletics at times. But in this case, I can see your perspective. There really isn’t a question that Whiteland has been the better program the last 20 seasons. However, I will say this. I watched their game the other night on YouTube with CN. And this Whiteland team looks SMALL. Outside of their LT and LG, they look very skinny at every position. That isn’t the case with Floyd Central. They’re big. On the OL and at DT especially.

I just think you need something on the helmet. I wish FC had their logo on both sides and not just 1 side.

I don’t like it. Plain helmets bother me for some reason. I loved their blue helmets with the white stars. The blue and red look has always been a good look for BNL.

Their OL looks big. The QB is huge and has a quick release. #80 WR is a good sized kid with speed. There’s a reason you guys are #2 in 5A. I don’t agree with Castle being #4. I think FC would beat Castle again. 5A football just isn’t great. Too many “tweener” teams.

Yes The other side of the helmet is white. And they put stickers on it like Ohio State does but only on that side.

So you didn’t put the teams together? When was this? 1970? I’d love to see you win 10 games in a season at FC. Not exactly a football hotbed. It’s only been done twice I think? Coach Bragg does a terrific job.

I just watched the Bloomington South vs Bloomington North game. Well, the 1st half always. North looks young and small. But South has that huge QB back and some pretty good weapons.

Bloomington North (0-1) at BNL (1-0) BNL. I like the Stars this year. Columbus East (0-1) at Columbus North (1-0) Columbus North Jeffersonville (0-1) at Seymour (0-1) Seymour. Edge to home team. New Albany (1-0) at 2A #3/#5 Indianapolis Lutheran (1-0) New Albany. They’re a lot better. Whiteland (0-1) at 5A #6/#7 Floyd Central (1-0) Floyd. They avenge the last few Whiteland matchups. Whiteland is still a good team with a great coach though.

We didn’t have enough faith in the HHC! I think that game comes down to the wire. I think BNL is pretty good and that’s not an easy place to win.

You’re also the same clown that said James Bragg wasn’t a good coach and then he ripped off a 10-2 season with HHC title and Sectional Championship. Lol.

We’ll see. I heard this last year and they came down to Wiegleb Stadium and the game was over by halftime.

Update? I’d prefer that helmet for Floyd for sure.

I’d put Floyd Central in the “teams to watch” category.

I think Floyd Central has the better team and playing at home will be a massive advantage as they’re expecting a sellout on Friday. It still won’t be easy. Honestly, last year, FC came out with the worst 1st qtr I’ve ever seen. First play of the game for Floyd Central, they throw a flare screen and it’s fumbled and they recover on the 20. Scored a TD. Whiteland kicks the ball off. Floyd Central fumbles it. Whiteland Scores again. FC goes 3 and out. Holds Whiteland to 3 and out. Whiteland punts the ball. Muffed punt. Recovered by Whiteland. Moral of the story. I think if FC can take care of the football Friday, they’ll get this one.

It’s hard to get a read on these teams right now TBH. Floyd Central has kind of had to re-invent themselves a little bit. They don’t have the passing game they had last year. Part of that is moving their #1 WR to QB. He did QB in 9th and 10th. But he’s more of a read option QB. Luke Jacobi had 181 yds rushing with 2 TDs and also a KO return TD. He’s a special kid and although he’s a SR, he’s the only Freshman to ever play varsity for Coach B. Defensively they seem fine. The QB from GS had 254 yds passing and 200 rushing. Seems like a special player and a guy that Gibson will ride all season. They did sack him 4 times and created a few turnovers. Very interested to see if their rush defense holds up next week because it’ll be fly sweep galore with Whiteland. I hate that gimmicky crap. It does work though.
