I think the calls were bad on both sides. They called blindside blocks on East about 5 seconds after the play was over. These guys were yanking flags every chance they got.
Oh I'm sure I overreacted. I just don't know how you call pass interference on a defensive back that is 2 yards away from the WR and the ball is 8 feet over both of their heads.
I don't know how good I'd be, but I'd at least try to be fair.
Their defense didn't play bad. FC played a little conservative. I felt like they were trying not to get injured. Bernardi didn't play so that took away some of the explosion in their running game although the younger Robertson is a stud.
I thought that was a big reason why FC was able to come back and beat them. FC has more depth than Seymour. Coach Bragg plays a lot of players. He even put in a Freshman at RB last week who looked impressive and you pretty much never see a Freshman play Varsity at FC. He must be good.
I'm not convinced that FC is just going to show up in Columbus and walk out of there with some kind of easy win. That's going to be a tough game. If they come out not playing sharp, like the did in the 1Q tonight, East will take advantage.
FC wins 42-7 over Jeffersonville. FC probably could've hung 70 on them. Robertson and Kaiser are just on another level right now. 7 receiving TDs in the past 2 games. Kaiser could play for about any team in the State. Looking forward to seeing East next week.
It’s still a long way to go. I for one, am not ready to hand any trophies out. FC still has to play a pretty good BNL team at home. And a trip to Columbus that could be a trap game if they don’t come out sharp.
Seymour. Really good team. Both of those teams could’ve won the other night. I like Seymour by 2 TDs at home.
FC. It’s always a trap game to play a 0-fer team in their stadium though. It will be Jeffersonvilles last gasp effort. I expect them to try to spoil FCs season.
Col East. New Albany is a mess. I’ve heard that the Locker Room is having some issues there. East isn’t as bad as their record. They’ll win.
JC. They have work to do but they’re still better than Madison.
I expect BNL to give us a pretty tough game. They have a solid team. I’m not expecting FC to hang 40 on them. It’ll be a 28-21 type of game if I had to guess.
Brett Perry is one of the best QBs that I’ve ever seen in this conference. Seymour’s passing game is hard to stop. Coach Moore is a really good play caller. He has some pretty good stuff on his call sheet.
Floyd Centrals only real weakness is pass coverage and the remaining teams on their schedule rely heavily on the run game. Louden is a good QB but he relies a lot on his legs. FCs front seven is too big and too fast to run against. Even St X struggled with it. And offensively they’re hard to stop. Robertson is mobile and has a strong arm. Bernardi was the National Player of the week, last week. He’s an absolute load to tackle. And they have about 6-7 guys to throw the ball to. Coach Bragg says this team has the best leadership of any team he’s coached there.
