Imagine playing a team that can’t cover anyone 20 yds down the field, but run a dive on every 1st down.

Floyd Central should pass every play.

This is the worst East team that I’ve ever seen. I’d put 9 guys in the box and call it a day.

Good call by Bragg there. Like I said, they’ve looked better since they haven’t had to play powerhouse programs(not counting Silver Creek as one though.)

Why would there be? It’s a rebuilding team playing 60 miles away? What I expected. Floyd is built around their defense which is older. They’re young on offense.

Tristan Robertson has the talent to be a really good QB. He had 3 TD passes in the 2nd half last week. Will that translate tonight? Who knows? He’s a Sophomore making his 3rd career start.

Well I haven’t really changed my East/Floyd Central analysis much. I’m still anticipating that East wins a close one. Floyd Centrals defense has played pretty well this season. And they have a nice QB/RB/WR trio with Robertson,Bernardi, and Branham. That’s going to be a good group going forward and I think they’ll play even better down the stretch.

I don’t think Floyd Central will beat East. I’d feel more confident if the game was in Wiegleb Stadium. I think we’ll have a good chance next season. Because quite frankly, even when we have a pretty good team, we just don’t play well vs them. I expect 3 fumbles in the 1st qtr of that game. Or we’ll have our whole O-line get hurt this week or something crazy like that. I still remember Kyle Bramble dominating them as a Junior and FCHS looked like they were going to be in good shape to win that game and a kid dive tackles him and he sprains his ankle. Last year, the leading WR in the state who was on fire, has a season ending practice injury 2 days before the game. While we are definitely playing better, something will go wrong and East will win. It’s inevitable. It’s going to take a horrible, and I mean horrible East team, for us to get past them.

Records never tell the whole story. I’ve been watching this game long enough to understand that.

That’s the worst Floyd Central team of the last 20 years. While this team is 1-4, they are nowhere near as bad as their record. They aren’t a really good team. But they aren’t a terrible team either. I didnt like them playing a brutal schedule but the argument for it was it would make them better. I’ve never been a huge fan on that sentiment but that might just be Crow I’ll have to munch on? We’ll see.

At Floyd Central? I can’t remember the last time BNL played well down here?

They always play horrible against Floyd Central, especially AT Floyd Central and a hostile crowd, and I’m hoping like hell it happens again. But this NA team has like 37 Seniors or something crazy and they’ve spent 4 years building this team.

Floyd Central 20 Jeffersonville 13 Floyd Central finally gets off the mat. Great win over a rival. I’ve handed out plenty of criticism so I’ll hand out the praise. Feel good win for the players and the coaching staff. I’m happy for all of them including Coach Bragg who made a couple terrific calls in the 2nd half after a sloppy defensive slugfest. Floyds defense only gave up 7 pts. They were in the backfield the entire game. And they’ve been solid all season. But the Star of the game was Tristan Robertson. 3 TD passes and 2 of them were absolutely beautifully thrown balls. The kid is immensely talented. I’m just so happy for those kids. I really am. Tough trip up to East next week, I hope it’s another good game.

Floyd Centrals defense is really good. Their offense not being able to keep them off the field has hurt them in a lot of games. Interested to see, if in these HHC games, against much worse defenses, if FC can manage to move the ball and allow their defense to win these games for them.

And I understand that. I’m firmly behind the kids in this community. I cheer for them. I know a lot of them. I want this success for THEM. This isn’t about me being able to brag about their success. I have friends children on the team. So yeah, I’m disappointed when they lose. It isn’t because of personal gain on my end.

Floyd Central might win 1 game this season. Jennings County. Any fan should be upset.

Thanks to a team built by Brian Glesing, beating a bunch of bad teams. No offense. I’ve been here for 30+ years. I played in Green and Gold. About 10 people in my family played in Green and Gold. I am Floyd Central. I was around during the Wiegleb era. I think the world of Coach Bragg as a person, but he has looked like a Deer in the headlights this season. This team struggles to even get a play call in. This offense doesn’t fit this team or this program. The playcalling at times is baffling. It took till game 4 to realize that the 5”7 QB shouldn’t start over the 6”3 QB that can throw the ball 50 yards down the field. With that being said, Floyd Central is a program built on the running game. They can’t win any other way other than ground and pound. These kids struggle with pass concepts and have for 30 years. Glesing had it figured out. He went with a lot of mis-direction, motion, and some Wing-T concepts. What Coach Bragg is doing is not working. And it’s not going to work. It might get them wins over New Albany and Bedford but they’ll never beat anyone good with a Pro-Style offense. I respect that you coached over there and these are your friends and I’m not trying to make any of them look bad, I’m just calling it like it is. I’ve had almost 3 decades of looking at Floyd Central Athletics, I feel confident that I know what I’m talking about. Stop bringing up money. Just because I spend some money over there doesn’t mean I expect anyone over there to listen to my opinion. I’m just a fan and I’m just saying what I see.

We could take the best players from all the HHC teams, AND the best players from Columbus North. And still not beat Center Grove.

Well that is stupid because East plays plenty of “Big Boy Football” in the playoffs. They’ve won State Championships. If I lived in Columbus and had sons playing football, I’d send them to East. But North is really solid.

They’ll never dominate again like they did under Gaddis. Gaddis is one of the best HS coaches that I’ve ever seen. He could probably build any HHC team into a consistent Regional/Semi-State team. But, East is a football town. “Football in the crib.” All of that. We will see more good East teams.

This team has underachieved 3 years in a row. I knew this was coming after having such a talented team get dominated by East last season.

FC loses in OT 21-14. Highly winnable game. The kids played their heart out. Absolutely pitiful playcalling. I can’t believe this guy thinks he’s an OC. Let alone a HC.
