I saw this on my timeline today. This is pretty cool. This is the last game I have seen at Lambeau; Favre's last win as a Packer. I was able to take my brother and his wife to the game as well. They had never been to Lambeau for a game. I still vividly remember Brett doing this in that game. Not only was it a playoff game, but it was snowing hard most of the day, and the Packers won. It was a surreal experience; one I will never forget. As time has it, it is just a couple of weeks away to reach the one year anniversary of my brother passing away.

I’m sorry to hear of your loss, my condolences.

In case you missed it, and you probably have, the 0-4 South Newton Rebels will face the 0-4 Lake Station Eagles in what should be dubbed the Contraction Bowl...

DT is going to sing the National anthem...

I don't mean to diss DT (that much).  I know he's probably means well, but he went a little too far this time as I am a proud alum and had some of the best memories in life happen in Kentland, Goodland, and Brook.  Raub and Earl Park, too, but some things are best left unsaid...

That being said, the population is small and life can be boring, but here's the kicker: sports bring people together.  SN has had their fair share of great athletes and that will continue.

Still one of my favorite plays of all time. Pretty impressive arm strength on the throw by Flutie.

No doubt!  I saw that game when I was a wee Gipper and had no idea it would transcend time like this.  Far better than Christian Laettner's shot against UK if you ask me...

  4. He can’t take the ball and go home because it’s not his ball to begin with.  I’m not saying the losing streak isn’t bad because it is.   We only had one winning season during my years in the cornfields and sometimes we’d get blown out.  Yet, no one was saying our doom was imminent.  You know why?  It wasn’t.   Still isn’t.

I know, a lot of members here have seen enough of DT’s contraction, some might call it “diatribe”...

But has anyone seen Dugger Union’s Sagarin rating?

    -52.82! 😳 I don’t recall ever seeing anything lower than -2 or -3!

Diatribe is one applicable term.  I have a few others...

Nope. If Brohm takes Purdue to a Rose Bowl in a few years I'm sure that the blue bloods will be coming. I personally think that Brohm will stay a long time.  Worst case I think one of his family members stays and continues Jeff's work.

Well, after the Rose Bowl, of course--but not for awhile.  I actually wouldn't mind seeing his brother, Brian or Nick Holt as coach should he leave.

No doubt, good days are on the horizon! Unfortunately there are already people out there talking about replacing Brohm. Those people obviously don't follow the program very closely.

Let them talk--JB's not going anywhere.  Besides, do you think a blueblood like USC or Auburn will hire a coach with a .500 winning percentage?  I think a lot of people talk crap just because they don't have anything logical to say.

I've read reports that IU OL Coy Cronk was going to transfer to Purdue due to wanting to be closer to one of his grandparents, but then said grandparent passed away, so Cronk decided to stay at IU. If Cronk had transferred and Mendez had stayed, Purdue's line would be a strength.

Purdue will start getting the good ones.  It's happened before, will happen again...

I think that is a strong possibility as well. He will just need to win more games at Purdue first.

He's just another IU fan! It's all good in fun.

I saw that... very impressive to land early on. He will be one of the top prospects in the state for that class.

    Noted.

I don't disagree about your first sentence and last sentence. However, if he is sitting at a .500 or so record after 3 years here, I don't see the big boys coming yet. Can you imagine some of those fan bases if they hire a coach with an average record? They would lose their minds. For the record, I think Brohm is an excellent coach. He is a great fit for Purdue and can lead them to a great future, if he so chooses. I am also confident that he could go into any of those places listed and win quite a bit pretty quickly. I just don't see him being a prime candidate right now. Give him a few more years and yes, I agree.

In reality, I'd rather there be schools who want Purdue's head football coach than the other way around. That means they are doing something well.

Spot on, but his tired rhetoric is not worth our time.  BTW, Purdue just got its first 2021 commitment.

That was a pleasant surprise. Although I’m not exactly sure what the deal with MN was. Maybe it was the packers OL doing a good job against a defense not as stacked as the bears

Don't know either, but it was a very good to see.  Hopefully the offense will have a complete game against the Broncos.

Pretty accurate. The packers offense is just terrible at this point.  That was my number 1 concern going into the game.

Aaron Jones rushed for over 100 years--step in the right direction.
