  1. Have a great day, my man! And, the Force will be with you always...
  2. They wrong.
  3. Lol. The tag inside my underwear says Gipper.
  4. Me, too. I don’t just make thus crap up.
  5. Or sweaters, but I digress....
  6. I do agree that the NCC is a there-headed monster, but this game ranks a lot higher than playing Andrean on a Friday fall night. This the State Finals and think Hobart will find another gear to keep the game close. Will they win? Not sure on that one, but I will not surmise a blowout.
  7. The NCC is a good league at the Brickies rep them well. They did go down to Merrillville earlier in the season and they’re Sectional final game against Lowell was nowhere close to the bloodbath everybody and their mother (notwithstanding yours truly) was expecting. I do like the Bricks’ chances, though.
  8. I place very little stock in Sagarin. Do his models reflect heart, desire, questionable calls, and weather (although that’s not a factor this time). That would be a no. There are so many elements computer models are blind to, suit up and play. There’s your data, the final score.
  9. It’s all good. I understand the need for a level playing field. But, I also realize sometimes life ain’t fair. Ultimately, everything is cyclical and the ship will be righted as I can recall the days when Pioneer and even Caston were easy outs in league play while Frontier and to a lesser extent, North White were top dogs.
  10. Home of the Rebels and my alma mater. Although things are a little bleak for Coach Bevis and the boys right, even the darkest night shall end and the sun will rise.
  11. I do, but that’s just the way things work out sometimes. I see what you’re trying to do and it’s noble, though. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
  12. Best of luck! Also, hold a bake sale, people love bake sales.
  13. Geno Aurriema would be most proud. I don’t believe CC is the Bama of the IHSAA. Maybe we should salute their hard work instead of making rules for them. What’s next, just dress nine or play with your legs tied together?
  14. My bad. I also think the Sullivan Golden Arrows is pretty rare...
  15. We had the Remington Rifles to the East of us. Lest we never forget the Monon Railroaders or Mt. Ayr Ayrdales.
  16. Got it—been up here way too long... We had the Remington Rifles to the East of us.
  17. Washington Hatchets. Tradition-rich school in a great area of the state. But in our over-PC world, the word Hatchet is maybe a bit much. How about Wooden Teeth? Very original and outdoes other unique nicknames such as the Laville Lancers (a lancer, really?) and South Central Satellites.
  18. Thanks! Did they merge into Pike who also dabbles in the occult (Red Devils)?
  19. I do like the Archers—Southside?
  20. Only one current singer is worthy of that: Bruno Mars. To all my Indy-area friends (both of you): isn’t somebody nicknamed the Space Pioneers?
  21. Just keeping it real, as keeping it can go wrong at times, though. Call in the subs: Bedford-North Lawrence Stars. Evokes too many memories of the greatest reality show in the history on TV: Battle of the Network Stars. How about an endangered species such as the Panda or Komodo Dragon? Penn Kingsmen. The school is coeducational, so their moniker is very inappropriate not to mention sexist. How about Big Fish? On the flip side, I think the Avon Orioles, Blackford Bruins, and Carmel Greyhounds are very classy.
  22. Totally weak. How about Coachmen to reflect the RV industry?
  23. I’ve been all over this great state of ours: I know things. That being said, I’ve always been an aviation buff, so I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the Adams Central Flying Jets. But why is Flying mentioned, isn’t that what they’re supposed to do?
