    I have coached other sports. Some of my best coaching results have been with very untalented teams. If you have talent you can rack up wins while doing a poor job of coaching. To win or even be competitive when you have a team low in numbers and talent overall takes some real coaching.

    I was trying to keep it simple for you. As for how the Southridge coach has done vs the Gibson Southern coach its not like they are working with the same resources. going by the last enrollment numbers used Gibson Southern has 184 more students than Southridge. Southridge had 517 students so an extra 184 is a lot to overcome.

    Gibson Southern has had a football team for 49 years. They have won 4 sectionals. Outside of Southern Gibson county I think most people don't think high school football history started in 2012.

    HoopsCoach, if I remember right Dugger Union was going to play 11 man football this last year and right before the season changed to 8 man football. Do you have any information saying one way or the other what they are doing next year?

    Should Tecumseh have kept their 2022 opponent for week 9 for 2023? That opponent was a BYE. Sometimes you have to play whoever has a open week that same time you do.

    Now that the number of teams are down again should the IHSAA go back to 5 classes. 313 teams entered the football state tournament this year.

    There are 12 current PAC teams that play football in the conference. Next year it will be 13 teams with the return of Tecumseh.
