Pike Central High School covers the entire county. Many, many little county roads. If they had to take kids to each the north, south, east, and west of the county some kids would be getting home very late.
In week #2 Boonville bet Lincoln, then in week #3 Jasper beat Boonville 35-0. What makes you think Lincoln will come within 4 scores of beating Jasper?
Forest Park 26 - Tecumseh 0. final
Heritage Hills 17 - Jasper 14. final.
Evansville Central 42 - Evansville Reitz 0 final
Evansville Memorial 10 - Evansville Mater Dei 3 final
Forest Park 6 - Tecumseh 0 with a little over 4 minutes left in the first quarter.
Southridge 13 - North Posey 0 with a little over 2 minutes left in the first quarter.
I thought the same about the first two years GS played them. Although they were not very good those two years they still have over 1900 students. Just trying to support the fellow PAC school.
Gibson Southern played Henderson County KY the last 4 years and went an impressive 3-1 against them. If Henderson County was in Indiana they would be a the 8th largest 5A school with a little over 1900 students.
"2A Luers has been outscored by 6A conference opponents Carroll and Homestead by the combined score of 93-0 this season"
Sounds like a candidate for contraction.
"other than a bad fourth quarter against Southridge, they could be 3 - 0 themselves." If we throw out the fourth quarter against Southridge, Linton loses 12-7. That was the score at the end of the third quarter. I have seen this or we gave the Southridge game away from several post made by Linton fans. Linton lead for less than 5 minutes of a 48 minute game. Southridge lead for over 27 minutes.
Maybe how Jasper played had to do with the two teams you played. They did both win state two years ago and on went back to state and the other went to semistate last year. Good teams can force you away from what you want to do when it is not working.
