  1. Washington beat them. They have you this week and us next week. They are finishing the season defeated.
  2. Oh and the projection--Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN) at Southridge (Huntingburg, IN), 7:30pm [projection: Southridge (Huntingburg, IN) 26-14]
  3. I'd say that 62 - 0 is fairly accurate.
  4. Heritage Hills (4-3) at Southridge (6-1) Southridge High School - Huntingburg, IN Friday, October 7, 2022 6:30 pm CST Kickoff This is the 54th time Heritage Hills and Southridge have met on the gridiron and the Patriots lead the series 38-15. Southridge is one of only 3 teams that was on the Patriot football schedule in their inaugural season in 1972 that the Patriots have played at least once every season since. The Southridge Raiders are averaging 35.7 ppg (points per game) and giving up 7.3 ppg, while the Patriots are averaging 35.4 ppg and giving up 18.1 ppg. Including post season play, the Patriots have not played any one team more than the Southridge Raiders. In that time, the Southridge Raiders have defeated the Patriots 15 times; More than any other opponent in Patriot Football history. The general feeling is that this will be a good game. While SR has been playing very well, HH may be one of the better 4-3 teams around. Just a few plays from being 6-1. If anyone cares about the history: 1972 HH 29, SR 8 1973 HH 10, SR 0 1974 SR 38, HH 0 1975 SR 9, HH 7 1976 SR 19, HH 13 1977 HH 29, SR 8 1978 SR 15, HH 11 1979 HH 36, SR 14 1980 HH 34, SR 2 1981 SR 7, HH 6 1982 HH 18, SR 13 1983 HH 13, SR 7 1984 SR 27, HH 14 1985 SR 45, HH 14 1986 HH 29, SR 0 1987 HH 40, SR 13 1988 HH 49, SR 22 1989 SR 12, HH 7 1990 HH 26, SR 6 1990 HH 27, SR 20 1991 HH 20, SR 0 1992 HH 39, SR 12 1993 HH 38, SR 0 1994 HH 42, SR 6 1995 HH 51, SR 6 1996 HH 36, SR 12 1997 HH 46, SR 0 1998 SR 21, HH 20 1999 HH 31, SR 0 2000 HH 42, SR 6 2001 HH 30, SR 0 2002 HH 42, SR 0 2003 HH 43, SR 8 2004 HH 48, SR 28 2005 HH 33, SR 0 2006 HH 26, SR 0 2007 HH 35, SR 13 2008 SR 26, HH 7 2009 HH 21, SR 14 2010 HH 15, SR 12 2011 HH 21, SR 0 2012 HH 34, SR 0 2013 SR 34, HH 8 2014 HH 33, SR 7 2015 HH 17, SR 7 2016 SR 29, HH 17 2016 SR 37, HH 34 2017 SR 17, HH 7 2018 HH 24, SR 14 2019 HH 42, SR 7 2019 HH 27, SR 7 2020 SR 34, HH 14 2021 HH 20, SR 13
  5. I guess I will just say, yes, it is this reason you state. Our frosh QB had to move up to JV and they didn't feel as if there was an option to go to. There is an option (or 2), but whatever... While I can't speak for Apollo, I think I can say that neither GS or Mater Dei would care if we played our current freshman QB 8 quarters.....both of those schools would rather play than not. Am I wrong? Playing with a freshman back up on the freshman team and losing beats not playing at all. In the JV game Monday against you guys, we had to play a freshman fullback (2.5 quarters due to FB injury) and a freshman QB....who cares???? Outside of Friday night wins/losses don't matter, it is all about feeding varsity. Get these kids as many reps as you can get them. 2 of the last 3 games the freshman had (GS and MD) would have been great for competition and learning... We have 21 freshman, but really only 19. 1 plays only varsity (we all know who that is) and the other is a kicker that always has a conflict with soccer on Thursday and only plays JV. So 19 is the real number on the freshman team.
  6. What about those front 4 you got on the D-Line....dude. They are excellent.
  7. That is actually what I got.
  8. I have no idea what I just read, but wait, you beat us before the Hart era???? C'mon on man! Really?!?!? (This is where you need to read into me being snarky) By the way, GS folks, I ate at Zach's Diner before the JV game last night. Great eats, definitely going back! Wish I would have had time for the fried chicken to cook--I would have got that, it looked good. We barely made the game on time as it was.
  9. Southridge would get into the red zone and choke, according to a buddy.
  10. Yes, but they had less than 30 yards of total offense against Southridge. That's crazy.
  11. Take out the blocked punt and the botched drive at the start of the 2nd half and it is a much more interesting game. We still don't win, but it is more interesting. Send 2 plays in? I dunno...maybe a thought. We will be doing this forever.
  12. Yeah, I caught it....but seriously, you are going to admit that you are from Illinois? (My dad is from there too--explains all my problems) As for the paver, that is easy. Send a check to Heritage Hills Quarterback Club for $1,000,000. Next to your paver we will place our championship record. Again my man, just screwing with you. We will sell you one for way less than that. 10K? Dude, don't get me started. A buddy asked me last night why we still do that....It has to be right we have done it for 50 years! Geesh. The ref on the chains was 80. Steve Seifert (white hat) told me that last night.
  13. "More stupider".....south gibson education? Just messing...
  14. You guys have a poorly officiated game lately? Couldn't have been any worse than our game at Boonville. I had never seen anything like that. By the way I'm not blaming the loss on that...it was bad all over. Anyway moving forward....looking forward to hosting y'all tonight!
  15. Yeah, I'm not sure about all that....lol, super athletic play and talk about staying cool. I'm not a high school football rules expert, but can you do that how that went down. High school has some weird rules.
  16. Luck? Nah, y'all played well. On both sides. Congrats on a great win. Tough fought game.
  17. Indeed....if we are going to turn it on, now is definitely the time. Looking forward to it.
  18. Stop. Just stop. You guys are killing me.
  19. This is good to know, I was afraid I was losing my mind.
  20. Indeed Tanner is a very Sellers type QB. Sellers was special, not to mention a great kid.....his little brother should be a freshman now, no? He was a little guy last time I saw him, but SURELY he plays football. Last time I saw him was on the basketball court in middle school.
  21. Logan Wilkerson was the best QB that we have had since the Clayton era ended. He wasn't as fast and shifty as Cole Sigler, but he was the best all around QB that we have had in the last 10 years. Cool, collected kid, could throw well and would burn you if you flushed him. That is not to be dogging on anybody else at the QB spot, it just is what it is.
  22. A couple things, it may be the D-line and the LBs slouching a bit, but Jett absolutely flies to the ball and never takes a play off. The kid ain't scared, but he ain't got whooped by the bearded man that you mention above yet....after all he is a boy playing with men. Odd year? Yes, it seems that way.
  23. QB change? I'd say that ship has sailed. But you know that is a discussion.
  24. As has been stated, that was just as you said, a rumor. Around here, we knew that he wouldn't get a shot at it so I think that was just the talk outside of the area. The kid that everyone thought might get a shot at QB is a sophomore, I am not sure he got a shot....dunno about that. Goldsberry only has got in on offense a few times and has carried the ball once, and well, we saw how that went. I said something to him about it the next week and he told me that he told Todd, "Give me the ball and I will score." LOL--he doesn't lack confidence. We don't often play freshman on offense....it is extremely rare, Clayton started freshman Cole Seifrig on Defense (20 years ago), but not on offense....he was likely the fastest kid on the field over all. Kenton Crews... Of course Jay, but he wasn't QB. Jett is playing at a level above virtually everyone on the field. You will see a bunch of him, next year. And yes he is leading the team in tackles, but he is doing that as a DB not a linebacker. That is impressive. Put the kid at linebacker and see where that number goes--way ↑.
