Heritage Hills (3-0) @ South Spencer (1-2)
Fred Ayer Field - Reo, IN
Friday, September 8, 2023
7:00 pm CST Kickoff
This is the 53rd meeting between Heritage Hills and South Spencer.
The Patriots lead the overall series 40-12.
This season the Patriots are averaging 46.3 ppg (points per game) and giving up 13.3 ppg, while the Rebels average 20.7 ppg and are giving up 27.3 ppg.
Defensively, our Patriots are leading the turnover battle 11-5 in three games and continue to make big plays when needed.
The 12 wins that South Spencer has over Heritage Hills is second to Southridge for the most wins of any opponent against the Patriots. South Spencer is one of only three teams that have been on the Patriot football schedule at least once, every year, since their inaugural season in 1972.
Like many of the Patriot's opponents, the Rebels dominated the Patriots in the early days of the series winning 5 of the first 7 meetings. The Patriots went on to win 4 of the next 5 games to tie the series up at 6-6. The Rebels would regain the series lead 7-6 with an overtime win in 1984 and the series would remain tightly contested through the first 21 meetings. After a Rebel win in 1991, the Patriots led the series by a slim 11-10 margin. After that loss the Patriots won the next 19 meetings before the Rebels ended the streak with a 14-0 win in 2011. The Patriots have won 10 out of the last 11 games since the loss in 2011.
Hit the road this Friday and head to Reo to cheer for the RED, WHITE, & BLUE!

I'm not. This small school/town political bullshit, plain and simple. And it has hurt a young man.
This is what lawyers are for, and while he is at it, the kid should probably go ahead and sue for defamation of character.

They are the only team we have played every season since Gibson Southern opened its doors in 1974.

What is the last game that Princeton has won?

I'd like that very much and by the way you win tonight by a ton.
I'll tell you who will win by a ton tonight. Southridge. I am friends with a bunch of folks over there and after the week those boys have had, they will be ready to take their aggression out on Boonville. It is an understatement to say that Coach B wasn't happy with his 20ish seniors after last Friday.
I'm glad we aren't playing Southridge again this week....I digress, talk for a different thread.
Represent the PAC and bring the BOOM across the Wabash tonight!

Every game is big and should be treated that way.
I don't disagree. We can't overlook a single game. The game is not a conference game, in that sense it isn't "big" but we need every win.

Is playing in the middle of the day better than playing at 8 at night? Temp will be the same, at least the sun is down.

That is all the bleachers they have for both sides??? That is worse than Forest Park! At least at Forest Park, all the FP people leave after the band plays.

A little surprised HH whipped SR by 30. Was it the new spread O?
No, not the new offense, as stated, we only threw the ball 6 times (I think)...this is a much different team than last year.

Sounds like your week 1 game. LOL
Yeah, for a game that means nothing (concerning PAC), this game is huge and means everything as it will set a tone in the team and community. Last year was rough and there is a pretty hefty expectation this year, as there should be.

I've seen Jet throw multiple times this summer. He is doing a very nice job.
Agreed but I'm looking forward to a big game against a really good secondary. I don't know, maybe a game that could decide the PAC championship. Know when such a game could be? I digress.....I am getting WAY ahead of myself.

I am curious to see if HH really goes to a spread or if they go back to the bone once things get tight.
that makes 2 of us....but it seems we are committed. Jett has quite an arm, accuracy will be the question....we didnt see much last year since he came in so late.

but it seems Heritage Hills is on the lower side of numbers. It appears around 30 ish kids in the photo? I assume that’s just varsity?
idk don’t hate me for asking lol
No freshman in the picture, as said. Your observation is correct, numbers aren't stellar.

I'm a bit puzzled as well. 2 big games. Not much to say.
I feel pretty good about where we are, but it will answer some questions for me when we get an out come Friday night.
Now, the kids don't have the luxury of looking ahead, but we do....HOW ABOUT NEXT WEEK? J/K....I can wait till Monday.
