Guessing top 3 would GS, MD, and Memorial next year. Correct me if I’m wrong, but was Southridge Senior heavy this year? I thought they had a good amount of seniors starting.

Should be an entertaining Sectional once again.

Projected to be a 7-team Sectional in 2025 per IHSAA Sports Information Director. There could be a chance of an 8th team joining this spring, but as of now, it appears it will be 7 teams for 2025 with the departure of HH.

Mater Dei HC Mike Goebel has retired, what a great career for the legendary coach!

No one has a clue, but I’m guessing something comes out in January. That’s what happened the last time VL considered leaving the conference.

I haven’t seen anything yet, possibly whenever during the 2nd semester when S&C stuff begins. Any Jasper fans have a clue for the next HC?

One question to ask is will the SIAC champion (since expansion) will go past sectionals? Only Central has done it in the 2020 Regional before losing to a game winning field goal to Mooresville. Since then, the undefeated SIAC champ has lost in: 2021- Jasper, First Round 2022- Reitz, Semifinal 2023- Reitz, Sectional Championship 2024- Memorial, Sectional Championship

Seems like the 2 early favorites are MD and Reitz with what they return. Memorial and Castle will be up there, but loses some valuable players Offensively/Defensively. I think Jasper returns a good amount defensively, but takes some hits on the offensive side. Should be an interesting season ahead.

Resale tickets from season ticket holders/scalpers since ND hasn’t released public tickets yet. But it doesn’t sound good for the common fan trying to go to the game (High demand for the ND lottery tomorrow). I saw the CFP set a min/max value of $100/$250 on tickets according to the Twitter world.

Losing those two will be tough to replace, but I think Memorial has about 13-14 starters returning. Plus, playing at Enlow for 2/3rds of the regular season is major benefactor for the Tigers. Still too early to say about the Tigers, but the got a nice supporting cast of juniors returning for their final year. However, Reitz/Mater Dei appear to be heavy contenders for the SIAC Crown, Week 9 is going to be exciting!

The Harrison-Jasper round 2 game isn’t factored in the statistics (couldn’t find the Jasper stats), but Harrison’s passing defense YPG is probably lower by a few yards. Most teams did stay pretty consistent all season long. Bosse’s total defense YPG being top 5 surprised me, however, I’m missing about 2 games for that one. Castle was consistently in the Top 2 for rushing defense all season long, that DL was stout. Funny thing is that 2023 Castle’s passing defense was in the Top 4 last season, but the run defense may have been the last team. And of course, it swapped this season.

Looks like HH as 22 yards shy of over taking the record. Ended up having 328 yards, Portage (1977) and Chatard (2003) still have the record at 349 rushing yards in 3A.
