No.  Accusations are meaningless.  People will accuse others of anything to help justify their own wrong actions.  It needs to be officiated.

If an official hears a slur, should be a flag, a penalty in the game, and noted for review.  Then a set of rules should be established for an accumulation of these types of penalties.  I don't know if you group it with other unsportsmanlike conduct penalties or you create a whole new category for it but that can all be decided upon.  There just needs to be some sort of structure and it needs to go beyond an opponent saying the other team said this or that.

Accusations from 2 programs should warrant probation..at least a fair warning that if anything of that nature occurs in your next game then the player is automatically ejected..ig they had the bad luck of playing two teams that needed to justify their actions? If my coach says its an issue..its an issue..

The kickers at Westfield the last 5-7 years have been phenomenal it seems.. Will Harrison single handily beat Columbus East at the 5A state title a few years ago. Westfield and East that year both had unbelievable defenses, Harrison was the difference.. Good Luck to the Rocks the rest of the year.

Agreed...their special teams have been top notch n east wasn't the only team he beat that year..kind of like adding a sniper to ur arsenal..

Mostly accurate. The play of a QB and RB is key though, a pick six or INT or fumble that changes game momentum is hard to overcome. Sure as a fan/alumni you never want to see your team lose the last game of the season. But I also keep in mind that the players are still kids, and they, like us all make mistakes. Remember it is just a game !!

Meh..u know how it goes..run ur basic set of plays to perfection..turnovers n special teams play didn't assist n when the other teams n fans (me) know whats coming its all about execution..playbook may be deeper next yr..

How about for those Eastside fans heading to S. Calhoun St. tonight? Certainly not my neck of the woods down there, but as a foodie myself, I'd love to hear some recommendations. I know Penguin Point is known for their tenderloin sandwich. But there's gotta be something else down there.

La margarita is on calhoun as well..have some decent nachos n beer.. Coney island has cheap coneys n good fries..no beer though 😕

  5. Snider vs Dwenger for a sectional title..doesn't get much better in early November..cyo teams don't lose too often n the panthers will need their best game yet to bring in the hardware..comes down to special teams..Sni high by 1

Carroll vs Warsaw had Warsaw originally picked to win this game until Concord stubbed their toe last week ..still think the Tigers n Bart ball give dinan fits until they figure it out late..chargers by 3

Wayne vs Mississinewa the generals will have their work cut out for them if planning on the upset..sectional titles don't happen after the first win (unless ur in 6a) n hopefully they didn't celebrate too much..maybe haydock shows his state ring as little extra motivation..miss by 6

Luers vs Eastside tough call with the knights rolling although the blazers have yet to taste defeat..if the green n white can score first n often..coach k will be in for a long knight..being on calhoun brings the ghosts of glories past n they get it in ot by 2.

  6. Snider survived last night..that game had a bruins victory signed..sealed..just not delivered..

The saints pulled it in typical cyo fashion..legends gave them all they could handle

Generals showed they have some fight left in them n will need to fly around next week

Luers next step will be a taller task as they pulled away last night

Cadets took it on the chin to a good Norwell team..those knights are tough

They were beat in every phase of the game except for the scoreboard. They may have taken for granted that Northrop hasn't beaten them since 1999.

The bruins had every ball bounce their way.. their coaching staff gave tippy fits..seeing him call off the blitz let me know he was in a chess match..they picked them apart..dbl pass is gonna be the future..thought that about the hook n later yrs ago with the cavemen though..panthers showed heart tonight

I don't like moving the game to Bluffton. I'd rather AC play in a slop with their ground & pound game at home. This playoff draw has not been what I hoped. Only 3 regular season home games already and now moving the home playoff game to a close neutral site that helps the opponent.

Makes ya wonder who suggested moving the game from the landing strip!? Too many fans standing outside the fence in late October creates an unfair advantage! I kid I kid..

Field conditions coming into play this week. AC moved their home game to Bluffton's turf. AC has a great grass field that's well maintained. I think that helps AC's opponent Southwood & their offense than if the game was played in Monroe. Meanwhile SA hosts Monroe Central. SA has an ok field but it doesn't do as well in the rain as ACs. I think that muddy field in Berne could help SA against MC. Did AC beat SA to the punch to get Bluffton's turf or is this by design in each matchup?

If I were a gambling man...id say both?

15 years ago… and CG has a D1 QB and good receivers, their most explosive plays in the state game last year were all passes. Again, not saying you gotta pass every down… balance is key

Wc could run that offense today with those athletes n still win 6a..having two Mr indianas in ur backfield will do that for ya though..add a 3rd in a 4yr run n you could probably do anything ya want..schemes that can take advantage of the other teams weak links usually prevail..sometimes its the linebackers..other times may be the secondary..

Kid is an electronic sub 11 second guy in the 100 meter dash which is pretty damn impressive but not always a clear indicator of “football speed” some will tell you.

That being said, the hyperbole that he’s “the fastest kid I’ve ever seen with running back power and moves” either means this poster hasn’t witnessed much football in his/her lifetime or is exaggerating greatly.

    Sub 11 6'2 215 would fit the bill a little better..imho..

After watching NorthWood and Concord tear up the Tigers' defense through the air, I do not think they will be much competition for either team in my honest opinion. However, if Bart Ball offense can execute perfectly (no turnovers, limited penalties, long clock-eating scoring drives, etc.) that is what can keep them in the game. But they will have to execute perfectly on offense along with hoping Carroll/Homestead makes some mistakes of their own.

As well, with the two week bye, I still do not know if it is a blessing or a curse. The Tigers will have gone 21 days between playing a varsity snap. That is a LONG time. If they start the game rusty... that could potentially put them in an early hole.

Sorry - I know this thread is about East Noble and Leo. For my two cents there, it definitely sucks this was the first round matchup. Would have loved to have seen both of these teams square off week 3 of the tournament. Leo should handle the next two weeks with ease.

Are the minutemen really that good!?

It always is, but my experience with using USF is that it really isn't the most conducive arena to HS FB.   Terrible sight lines, and not a good experience for visiting teams with the seating arrangement.

But, yes it could and is an option in this situation in the FW area.

Can do what everyone used to do n play on the field given..just can't imagine how football was ever played back in the day when switching wasn't even an option.. play on the baseball field..ok..meet us in the parking lot..ok..now..not so much..I digress
