So, not being from FW, is there room for a field at Snider?
When they built the school was it too costly to put a field in then?

In reading this discussion I am just trying to understand the logistics on the situation

Depends on who u ask..some say there is room for a nice field..others..not so much..Northrop n Snider were one school that split with Snider having the smaller enrollment at the time the powers at be decided to share Northrop's field

Rumors have it that Anthony Spencer attempted to install Turf for the knights yet wasn't granted the request

And last year they got a good taste of what it takes to be a champion in playing Chatard and Westfield. Maybe getting waxed by those teams was just what they needed. We know they have the talent, but are they determined enough to play tough, central Indiana football? I think.....................yes

Bah..humbug..give me carmel out the north..if two mic teams make 6a finals then so be it..does not seem right that the passage to los for 6a north does not go through carmel..ig Westfield has taken the helm..yet even the rocks aren't sporting that 5k student challenge..for giggles ill take Carroll or warsaw..Dinan or bart ball..

What a game. We sat at BD/Northrop and had Luers/Snider game streaming.

It was a classic old school slug it out contest..both programs showed "grit" while duking it for the bell...those hits..whewww...this could have been a 3 team sac weekend during Thanksgiving yet the world works in mysterious ways..maybe those 6a schools have something left although on film..Warsaw looks mighty good

Those ‘00 and ‘01 Luers SAC Title teams were definitely not the norm. In ‘00 they shut out Snider @Spuller 14-0. The LAST time any team shut Snider out at Spuller. That ‘01 team I’d say is second only to ‘04 Snider as the best the city has seen the last 25

"15" panthers were pretty good..yes new pal would have scored that (if not more) against 99.5% of Indiana imho..that 01 team was solid..Those knights were battle tested from jimtown days..

Homestead and Carroll were better matchups for Luers. Snider isn’t. Snider has the best front 7 in the SAC which is gonna give Carson Clark problems. Then on defense, the weakness of the Luers defense id the front 7. KJ Tippmann ran for 186 yds on that front, I envision Snider running for much much more. Not to mention Luers is a 2A school. Everyone knows small schools can’t compete and win the SAC 😎😏

Nahhh..I still remember the bell ringing for coach k as a player..it can be done..the Achilles heal for the panthers is their pass d which the younger Lyndsay will surely dissect with his gameplan..if it rains n the pigskin gets slippery then maybe...just maybe..sni high can pull this one out..

Also think the bruins will give the saints all they can handle..I'm a cyo guy though and want to stay in the bishop's good graces..

Chargers pull away in the 3rd and the archers just need to remain healthy

I was a senior at Snider in 2015. Since us, Wayne, and Luers split the title in 2014, each of us had the bell for 3 weeks each throughout the 2015 season. Dwenger won the SAC in 2015, so they got the bell for all of the following season, 2016.

No bell in the playoffs, per IHSAA. No noisemakers at all. At least that is how I remember it, definitely could be wrong.

I cant keep up with all the changes.. I could see why..it was definitely ringing against Valpo during semi state (back in the day😉)

The only reason why I'm skeptical for the Tigers in Sectional 3 is the fact that they will go 21 days between playing games.

    October 15th - at Concord

    October 22nd - 6A BYE WEEK (7 days)

    October 29th - 6A Sectional 3 BYE (14 days)

November 5th - at Fort Wayne (Carroll or Homestead) (21 days)

That's a lot of freaking time to go without playing a game. I have no doubt the Tiger coaching staff will keep the team focused... but wow, I know Coach Curtis mentioned before the season he would much rather have NOT had the additional bye in sectional 3. Heck with 21 days though, that is a whole lot of time to get healthy AND craft up and implement some new schemes (at least defensively) that hasn't been shown on film.

From what I've seen from him as a coach so far..he will be adding some wrinkles n I agree..getting healthy is the best thing for a deep playoff run..21 days!??? Whew..they will be ready to lay the wood on whoever isn't wearing the orange n blk

The scuttlebutt in FW is that the NEW Superintendent of FWCS is all about have ALL 4 HS fields turfed ASAP!  He doesn't understand the delay in not going forward.

As I said before, FW Wayne has 'jumped' FW South and is getting Field Turf after this season.  But there is a possibility that South/North and Wayne may all get Field Turf before next season.

Is there a possibility that talk will again start on FW Snider getting their own field?

Talks are in the works..ziembo is open to having discussions of adding their own field..currently across the street from Luers..man it looks good...when its not raining!!
