Yes they do. This is where I think Snider struggles a bit against teams. We are undersized against most teams. If you have a big line and can competently throw throw the ball, it could be a problem for Snider.

Yes..I never count them out..yet this will undoubtedly be a tall task

Never would have guessed it's been 20 years since these two squared off.

    2002     Snider 28, Valpo 17

    2001      Valpo 45, Snider 13

    1986      Snider 20, Valpo 14

    1985      Valpo 20, Snider 7

If you believe in trends, then these two will meet up again next season.

Samardjiza years..they have some big boys on their line this year as well

Snider played Mishawaka in 2015 in the Regional at Wayne High School. Snider won 42-32 and it was a good game as I was at the game. Snider struggled stopping that option running attack and it came down to the fact that Mishawaka couldn’t stop Snider’s offense at all. I think we are looking at a similar game this time with the difference being turnover/penalties.

Was that the hook n ladder game? Cavemen ran it to perfection n it gave Snider fits..

Has Snider faced any option teams this season? Because this is not an easy offense to defend.

This is going to be a very physical contest.  As always, turnovers are huge. Win that battle, win the game.

Have not faced an option the style Mishawaka runs..being able to read their keys and get off blocks may possess a great challenge with the cavemens size on their O-line..even if the panthers stack the box they might still have issues with their run game and athletes Mishawaka brings to the field..

Probably as well as anyone. Streaming games live has ruined it a little bit. Maybe since Snider hasn't played in a regional since 2018, they'll travel for this game. I know back in the 80's and 90's Snider had one of the better traveling fan bases. It's just different now I think for all schools.

Might take the day n travel there early..get a good parking spot n "hangout" until game time

I thought they got a syn turf field a few years ago when they passed referendum. I may be wrong though. I've been to numerous games there and it is a classic high school stadium, not a cookie cutter type. It may be over 60-70 years old or more. I may have to go to game.

    Can u recommend any eateries/bars?

No such thing in HS Football as an "uncatchable ball"..  just letting you know!

That rule is a college and NFL interpretation.  What you see on this level is a different, more rudimentary game.

Examples: DPI; until this season...Intentional Grounding via the passer and the ability for a defender to 'defend/touch a receiver' downfield prior to the pass.

So the Legends coach has a chance here?

North's coaches and players are chippy when they play Snider. That's both understandable and human nature in my opinion. They're tired of being second best in this "rivalry." North Side has three sectional titles, but have not had one in 32 years. During that time, Snider has won 24 and have a grand total of 28. So yeah, they might be a little envious and pissed.

From a coaching standpoint, there were times where the North Side defense had an answer for everything Snider threw their way. There were also many times when North's offense sliced through the Snider D like butter. Good game planning?

Their play calling was superb..attacking Snider weak links..over n over..they seemed very confident the game was theirs..makes me wonder if that's why they didn't feel the need kick or punt..the coaches have been boisterous all year yet as u stated,  they get "jacked" for snider..and that led to their demise..Snider staff gets credit for keeping everyone calm n collected..legends swung for knock outs while panthers delivered body blows..yet without their penalties the final score may have read differently this morning

No, QB was scrambling and threw the ball 10 yards out of bounds as he was throwing a deep ball to a receiver that was covered by 3 Panther players. Coach was claiming pass interference.  Coach ran into the field arguing with officials and coaches ended up delaying the game for 5 minutes and only received a sideline warning instead of a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. His players started melting down as well and took personal foul penalties as well.

Ahh..that pass appeared to be uncatchable (if thats a word)..seen the flex from one of their leaders after refs told them to not taunt or celebrate in the direction of the other team..the illegal grounding call was close..

They need to, just for the sake of giving Fort Wayne representation in that class. Watching Snider and Dwenger dispose of each other isn't something we've ever had to endure.

Thought Wayne, North, and Dwenger all belonged in 4a..seeing how cc won, one could only imagine how they would match up with the other two..

Yes, Juarez really made plays when needed. Even with INT, Haupert played good as well and Langston was running good. All around great effort and D made the plays when needed.

They are 4 students away from 4A??

Agreed..the defense really tightened up..not seen many backs rush for over 100yds in the 1st half like they did..

Never looking ahead, Mishawaka is a good team

peaked in on their game last night..they have some size n run an efficient offense..wondering what places are good to stop at for a pre game meal..

Great game, I'm glad Snider was able to get the W. The long drive in 4th Q is what teams like that do when they need too!! North Side looks to have a great staff and future. Lambert and Johnson are certainly some of the best in the state. Snider needs to get special teams in order for continued success. I think the killer for North was the penalties, they got the turnovers they needed, flags at certain points really hurt. Looking forward to the Panthers and Cavemen @ Steele Stadium.

The panthers D1 wr made some phenomenal plays, flipping the field on special teams, sprinting for a td on a 5yd out, and came back for a 50/50 ball that really swayed momentum..the bootleg was open all game..n the last td was a typical Snider play🏆

Kudos to the North Side community. They brought 2500 to the game tonight. Great crowd. I really thought they had the game.

Up 21-12 with 8 minutes to go, 4th and 3 at the Snider 45, I really thought they screwed up by going for it instead of pinning Snider deep. That was the play of the game in my opinion. Snider only had to go half the field to cut the deficit to 21-18. That being said, Ben Johnson and company coached that game brilliantly on on both sides of the ball. As long as Johnson sticks around, North will be a force.

Still not sure how Snider pulled this one out. Props to them though, they beat one hell of a football team despite awful special teams play and a couple of turnovers.

North Side might have the best one two punch in the state with Tae Tae Johnson and Jontae Lambert.

They never really kicked their entire game..all gas and no brakes..touchdowns only..the kicker is a senior that's playing hurt..the freshman kicker had sufficed all year tho n he really stepped up..that north side crowd was massive n they fed off their energy..the penalty inside the red zone that allowed Snider to get the turnover on downs was big..I thought for sure they would kick a fg..

  14. The Legends had more talent..their coaches have alot of heart..hence their antics? Them not being able to spell their star players hurt them as well as the 4star literally only left when he cramped up..Panthers walked (quietly) n the legends talked..

Coach k knew what calhoun Street needed this fall..

Norwell gave it away..4qtrs..something chatard will probably show again next week..

Eagles are on a mission after squeaking past wayne..they have mojo..

Dinan knows the chargers have their work cut out for them yet will relish adding some hardware against the tigers..bart ball still has a place in ind football..Dinan beat Jeff when they had NFL talent two decades ago..

Bluffton pulls it off! They won rd1 against a gr8 group of kids so its only right they pull off the upset..

AC keeps making me a believer..all they do is win

  15. Heckuva game! Uncharacteristic special teams play didnt deter the panthers championship spirit! That defense really stepped up..Legends have a gr8 program going and their coach did an excellent job preparing their team..so many players play so much for them..lots of talent..depth..not so much..as an avid sports fan ill watch the end of the Legends documentary yet I'll also watch sni high in Mishawaka next week..
