  1. Carroll finally gets a home playoff game thats winnable..bart ball may have something to say about that..at least for the 1st half..chargers..

The legends film crew has them looking like rockstars and a sectional title will only bolster their notoriety..Panthers use that chip to steal a ship..

Columbia city will make a run..unfortunately leo are in their path..coach will come back better next yr..after defeating the generals its hard to go against the eagles..

Norwell gets another sectional due to playing at home and a little home cooking on a Friday night..albeit for both schools chatard still does that "hammer" thing..

Luers were hitting pretty hard on calhoun Street today..the revenge tour has started..I was given an Eastside jersey years ago..reminds me of Harding's..coach k figured it out late..

Bluffton has some talent and somehow wins a title...in Eskridge's honor..

Northfield puts up a better match than expected..ac recovers to pull it out..

And then there were 5.  From last week, there wernt too many suprises with the scores.  I thought the Warsaw / Elkhart game was going to be the best, and I would say i was correct.  I forsaw Northridge beating Logansport as they played a much harder schedule in my opinion.  I thought NorthWood filled in their holes and did a good job.

    Thoughts for the upcoming week:

Warsaw V. Carroll: I think Carroll will be a bit much for Warsaw.  With that said, if it does rain on Friday (im not sure the forcast in Ft. Wayne) I may rethink that as Warsaw is built for weather.

High of 72 with 5% chance of rain...

Snider is North Side’s biggest rival in football, forget about it being South Side. North Side is not Snider’s biggest rival, nor even close. I would put Dwenger, Homestead, Carroll, and Luers ahead of North Side as to whom Snider considers their biggest rivals. North Side gets absolutely jacked for Snider every time, no matter the records, and gets their best shot. Now, with a sectional title on the line, I fully expect Snider to be jacked as well…

Hopefully they can execute n keep their emotions in check..it will be some talkin..yet who does the walkin..watched the legends vs sparty game again..they look like a completely different team

Well, Snider has kicked their tails for years and years so it makes sense. Also, their QB a couple years ago was going to be 2nd string at Snider so he transferred to North and Snider fought the transfer making the kid sit for an entire year. Plenty of bad blood here…

Yes a couple coaches on staff n in their feeder system has let it be known..I'm done watching the documentaries..at least for this week!

It's clearly a downward trend on paper, but his best team may have been year three of his 5 year tenure. That team in 2020 was VERY good.

Conclusion: He had very good teams his first three years at the helm. He is going through a 2 year down trend, which is common amongst many teams. Is that fair?

Fair..Plus playing up a class didnt do them any favors...

The panthers having their kicker/punter back was good to see..

I might be mistaken, but I'm not sure they had any penalties called on them against Luers. If they play continue to play that clean, they can go as far as they want.

I was referring to game 1 of Snider vs Northside..they seemed very "emotional " n the refs called it tight yet the panthers didn't do themselves any favors..I think they had 1 during the Luers game which kept the Knights alive early on..

I agree with you about Snider have a big advantage in special teams and coaching against North Side, but I would argue having that advantage in discipline. Been watching the Panthers for 40+ years and their lack of discipline has hurt them countless times over the years…

If they repeat their penalty performance from game 1 in any of the possible next  two they will b blowin up basketballs sooner rather than later..

Senior who had the best season. Been several years where the states best Senior has played on the offensive or defensive line and almost by default has been eliminated from contention. Blake Fisher and Zach Martin come to mind.

Ahhh..brings me back to the talent vs stats dilemma..unless we start tracking pancake blocks and sacks allowed those type of guys don't stand a chance..

Romeir Elliott ran for 3000+ yards and 41 TD’s that same year. Elliott should feel every bit as snubbed as Bell.

Insane stat line..the award goes to the best senior player or the senior who had the best season?

I'm guessing Kiser won the award in a landslide. It was probably an easy decision:

    • Led Pioneer High School to back-to-back Indiana Class A state championships as a junior and senior
    • In 2018 Pioneer High School went 15-0, 11 victories by shutout, and outscored its opponents, 936-39, including a 60-0 win over North Vermillion in the state finals
    • Recorded 159 tackles, seven interceptions, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries as a linebacker
    • Passed for 1,183 yards and 18 TDs, and rushed for 2,109 yards and 44 TDs
    • Career stats: 3,771 passing yards, 59 passing TDs, 7,364 rushing yards, 139 rushing TDs, 37 100-yard rushing games, 9,174 all-purpose yards, 11,257 total yards, 424 tackles, 32 passes defended, 20.5 TFLs, 20 interceptions, nine forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and two blocked punts

He also kicked..forgot to add his xps

Ok, again Snider beat North Side the first time, North Side struggled with Homestead and Luers, both team Snider hammered, and got drilled by Carroll who Snider played close without their RB1. Dwenger is not even close to the team they had last year when they split with Snider

Can we agree that the legends amp up their game when it comes to snider..?I think 3 points separated them the last two games..what did luers and sparty do that they couldn't do against snider? First game jitters? Vanilla play calling?

I am also of the opinion that this award should go to the best HS Sr football player in the state. It is not an award for the best college prospect.  People may think differently and that is OK.

Always found it difficult to not go for the senior who breaks a state record and not get the award..Robinson in 99 for heritage was a heckuva player yet missed out..makes me wonder how many great single season record breakers who were seniors, won or not won the award
