    The current HH high school building was built more than 30 years after the Jackson Central/Walnut Grove consolidation, and more than 50 years after Jackson Central was formed from Cicero, Arcadia, and Atlanta. I don’t remember a controversy over the naming of either school nor any controversy over their nicknames. Who can complain about the nickname Eagles? It’s very patriotic.

    Not at all like Hamilton Heights. No large government installations existed nor exist today in the Hamilton Heights district, and no new school was constructed as a result of the consolidation. It used existing buildings. The ones leftover that weren't used were sold on the free market to individuals.
