Can Saturday be here already?????? I think this will be a really good game. 2 hard nosed teams with 2 great coaches. Win or lose it is special to get this far, in the end these kids from both teams have been proving people wrong all year. I have been saying all year the thing that will hold Eastbrook back is their line on both sides. Then last week our line manhandle a huge Andrean team. Eastbrook had the biggest target for teams in the North, same for Western Boone and teams in the south, yet both found a way to play on thanksgiving weekend again. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best and right now that’s Webo. So my Panthers better come out with energy and focus. Blue or Red ring it is special playing on thanksgiving weekend!

I agree with your entire statement and I’ll go a step further and say Eastbrook wins this game!  Very exciting!!

I knew you couldn't make it all week without running it a bit! I kinda hope you do win, I'd hate to see you break the red ring record....If we are counting your red ring reading score! Should we be saying the you represent all the EB fans like you presumed about us? I've met some, so I wont. On a side note, did anyone see that I'm in the positive category for the first time! Im sure the Captain will lead a charge to change that though.

Who’s we??  Don’t eat too much on Thanksgiving, Private Dangleberry!  You need to save room for some humble pie on Saturday!  I’m sure you have met some EB fans, they’re everywhere!  Now go ask your dad if it’s ok for you to keep using his data.  I’d hate for you to get a spanking!

With each and every passing day and the more film I watch, I’m more inclined to think that the Stars will be victorious this Saturday!  I just don’t think that the Panthers will be able to keep up with Western Boone's team speed and tenacity through four quarters of play!  The Panthers are a good team, I just think this Western Boone team is built to outlast good teams!  Should be a great game, until Western Boone starts to pull away late!  Good Luck Stars!  Finish Strong!!

Pretty original!  You fail miserably due to plagiarism!!

I have no experience with that variation of positioning, so I am reluctant to offer an opinion. Don’t look so shocked. 😂🤣 Seriously, I have also heard the opposite argument, back when the push for 3 officials in basketball started: more officials will call more fouls. From what I understand, it hasn’t worked out that way at all.

For me, the bottom line is whether a change improves the chances that we’ll get more calls right. When I started working varsity football, we used 4 officials. When we moved to 5, the officiating got better. With the increased emphasis on the passing game and spreading the field, 5 officials simply aren’t enough anymore. 6 would be better, although there are still issues with 6 man mechanics. But for now, we simply don’t have enough officials to go to 6 on Friday nights, much less 7. And, of course, there would be pushback from schools who would have to spend more $$ on officials. But going to 7 at, say, the Regional level and beyond is certainly doable, and is something the IHSAA should strongly consider. And there is plenty of precedent for that.

I know what you’re talking about and I wholeheartedly agree that the particular call you’re talking about would most likely not have been missed if we had both short wings and deep wings. As far as changing the outcome of that game ... I strongly doubt it.

That was a 14 point swing.  Just saying.

I would agree with you on the line. He definitely got nervous against the better teams due to no time but he had plenty in the way of receivers to throw to. Metz and Vernetti hooked up for some monster numbers plus he had orick and Stewart to throw too.

Metz also did a great job early on of running the ball when things had not developed. Only thing i would have loved to see with Metz was for him to make decisions a little quicker and to run as hard as he did against frankton, elwood and mg

Well, there’s Alexandria talent and then there’s real talent.  I wouldn’t call Alexandria receivers real talent.  Sorry!

Andrean is perhaps the best team that can be recruited/assembled in that area at the 2A level, not necessarily the best team money $$ can buy though.  I'm very much pulling for Eastbrook, the CIC needs to avenge the Frankton loss against Andrean in Semi-State basketball 8 months ago.  I haven't looked at enrollment figures lately, but I'd imagine that Andrean is just a handful of kids away from being 3A in football?

Nobody from Frankton should be throwing stones about recruiting or anything else on a FOOTBALL site, until they can at least go .500 or better!!  Sorry!

If the game is close towards the end, I would think Andrean has an advantage in their kicking game.  That kid is a bonafide kicker.  Watched him warm-up from the 40 yard line.  He also put all but 2 ckickoffs out of the back of the EZ.  He is accurate as much as he's strong.  If he's healthy, he's going to be a threat.

That’s a very good point!  Having a kicker you can count on to make longer field goals in high school is a luxury and an advantage!  We’ll just hope it doesn’t come down to that.  Eastbrook won semi-state last year on a last second kick and lost the year before on one.
