That was the year the won the conference!!! I believe they beat HH in the last game of the season to win the conference!! AND drew HH first round of the sectional the next week and got hammered!!

Couldn't have said it better, where as if Pike were to happen to shock the conference I am sure they would be very happy as a community!! Ala 1986!!!!!

I understand by enrollment Pike was the one to move..........but since looking purely at the competitive aspect coupled with the fact that SR is already close to 3A in enrollment......I would vote for SR to move up. WHY???? I mean how could they not have benefited from it??

Maybe I am nit picking here but aim am curious of this.......why wasn't SR who has teetered on the 3A/2A line in previous years not bumped to the LED and Tecumseh put in the SED??? Seven teams in one division and 6 in the other? The reason I ask is SR would compete for a conference title year in and year out in the large division no doubt, and Tecumseh would be competitive as well in the smaller division. It just makes sense. Thoughts?????

Didn't mean that in a bad way towards GS or was I insinuating the 6A is just going to line up and pound a 3A school. But..........weeks 1 & 2 & 4 are in pretty much back to back to back weeks and could be really take its toll on a team. JMO That's the word on the street.........small school champ and large school champ.

Not sure about Booneville, but the rumor is HH will keep Southridge and South Spencer because of the proximity and rivalry. That leaves two open dates, not sure what kind of scheduling nightmare that will lead to trying to find games.

Not even sure HE can help you weeks 1, 2 & 4!!! If you needed some fish and bread maybe..........

What on earth are you talking about??? There WERE some good opponents last year in the conference, you know it too It's unfortunate that top to bottom the conference is down, but the answer isn't jumping ship either!! No one is talking about banners on this thread. Not sure why you would bring something like that into this, but since you did I will reply.....YES high school athletes appreciate conference titles, and so should their communities ESPECIALLY when said title means you beat one of the best teams in 2A and one of the best teams in 3A. Was the post season a little disheartening for anyone in Patriot Nation, you bet (rhetorical question) But the PAC conference does not hamper your post season ability, it puts county rivals, and schools less than 10 miles apart on the same field. It gives smalls schools the chance to beat a state contender. That's what the PAC is.........So if you all really don't like competing in the conference and the banners, then I am not sure what to tell you. And one last thing.....if you can't take some playful, tongue in cheek banter about your school then shame on ya. There is not a person in Spencer County that doesn't have September 27th circled and for good reason, coupled with knowing the sectional is going to be a dog fight.

In these years Cole Seifrig played RB for HH, which wasn't a bad decision by Coach Clayton I don't believe. I would agree with Jets on this one, Jade Winchell may have been the best wishbone QB there, Jay liked to throw it too much. I often wonder why a team like Southridge, and there use of multiple backs, didn't ever introduce the wishbone more with all their different running formations?? Not saying they needed too, good lord they have been successful, but having to game prep for the Bone too!!

Or an even better question........why didn't GS get accepted into the SIAC ???? I mean since they are so tired of playing in the weak PAC??? Inquiring minds want to know!!

Just wish there was more room, another facility set up, something to make it more accessible when there are big crowds for good games. It can be embarrassing when the opposing team's crowd have to wait forever......also just sayin'

We don't have bulletin boards, not in the budget!! Thanks for asking though. And motivation is high in the jungle!! Beautiful stadium, nice new parking area, an awesome train horn that makes noise, concessions selling Patriot Dogs, and I even think there are kids playing football!! Things couldn't be better!!

You wouldn't happen to have a towel or something I could borrow to wipe away the tears do you?? AND the media, nor the internet are allowed to lie, even we over here in lowly Spencer county know that. So that means everyone should just look to the winter sports season, because football is a done deal for 2019 cause the internet and news say so!!!!

Nah!!! It's pretty much all over except for the crying!! GS is playing for the state championship this year. No since in playing weeks 1 thru 14!! Too much talent. This is their year!! and NO ONE in sectionals 29-32 have a chance!! Let's move on to basketball.......

I agree. I think SS will move the ball okay just not real certain they can stop anyone. I will lean towards the Vikings a little too. I am going with PC in this one. For some reason I feel they are gonna to start off the season 1-0!!

I think of all the week one games the one on paper that seems the most interesting is the SR vs LS game. I want to see what SR does with a new QB and if there is any real affect on the team at all. With that said.... GS in an absolute route. HH big over Mt. Vernon Perry over TC in a close one. SS vs Posey flip a coin. SR over Stockton in a fight.
