So what are your thoughts on Paul Hornung and Tommy McDonald finishing ahead of Jim Brown? We all know the value Hornung brought to a football team. McDonald averaged 7.2 yards per carry versus Brown's 6.2. Do you believe that Brown got "screwed"? The 50's were rough, I do get that.

If I had a vote, it would have gone to Jim Brown, hands down.  He was dominant, and his domination continued in his somewhat short NFL career.  He wasn't a terrible actor either.  I have always been a Notre Dame fan, but Paul Hornung was not the best player that year.  You have to remember the time.  1956 was still quite eventful for people of color.

Thanks. I can roll with that. I get the Hornung argument. I'm wondering about Tommy Mcdonald though. He averaged more yards per carry than Brown did. Might be worth me researching. Maybe it was strength of schedule.
