FCS National Championship Game

North Dakota State 35, Montana State 32.  NDSU led 21-3 at halftime, but Montana State cut it to three but the NDSU held on.  It was a fun game to watch.  Montana State had too many errant passes and too many drops.

it was a very good game to watch.  I was pulling for the Montana State Bobcats, as NDSU has won the title many times.  But the Bison deserved it, and made the big plays when they needed.  Another title for the Missouri Valley Conference FCS football, the conference for Indiana State University.

NDSU is an outstanding program.  I watched them play one of the opening games on TV against Colorado in Boulder this season.  Lost a tight one to the Buffs 31-26.  This is a FCS program that would absolutely beat many, if not the majority, of FBS teams.  (especially mid-majors)

They have a dynasty for sure.  Not sure I have ever seen a walk-off punt to end a game, lol.

Last 3 NDSU coaches moved on to the FBS ranks.  Coach Bohl was head coach at Wyoming and had success there.  Just retired.  Coach Klieman is the current head coach at Kansas State.  Coach Entz was just named head coach at Fresno State.  NDSU still continues to win with their coaches moving on.

Programs and culture always win over “super” teams.
