Just think the Saints defense and offense are just better North 28 - South 18, records don’t mean much in this game, but I think North has the better offense Carroll 42 - Homestead 14, Chargers are just the better team Northrop 28 - Snider 24, it really pains me to pick the Bruins who are trying to break a 26 game losing streak to Snider. I think the effort will be better from Snider than last week’s spanking from Sparty. Maybe the Panthers can pull this out… Quote

adambetz Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 Wayne seems to have quit the last few weeks, while Concordia seems to run out of talent. Give me Concordia in a minor upset special. Concordia 32-29 I think Dwenger big brothers Luers. The confidence the Knights offense has built up the past couple of weeks will be false as the Saints force turnovers against the young offense. Dwenger 28-7 The Archers are my favorite team in the SAC and I've been proud of their performance so far this year. I think its going to be a track meet on the south side. North 50-35 Either the Northrop O runs wild or the two bitter rivals will play a defensive stalemate at Spuller. The Panthers will keep it close in the first half. Northrop 35-14 I think Carroll and Homestead should be a rock fight. Homefield advantage is the key. Carroll 28-21 Quote
Justasportsfan Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 Cadets by 6- They topple the generals to steal a win, drove by their stadium last thursday night, it was rocking, hopefully they can get some of that excitement for their varsity team. Both teams will score and miss pats. Knights by 2- Learned my lesson going against coach K, Dwenger showed a few more flaws last week and the battle of the bishops comes down to a safety. Archers by 8- The hype train will come to a screeching halt as the fiesty south team finds a way to run past north, the score and run for 2 more to put this away late. Chargers by 17- Dinan, Dinan, Dinan. Who is the best coach in the sac? Many might consider this guy hence the Dylan reference from making the band (yes another millenial show). That Wr can and will win this game by himself. With the O-line of course. Bruins by 45- Running clock will lead the panthers to their lowest point in program history, they took the worst conference lost last week, only to beat that feat this week. Painfully another panther alum will lead them to the abyss. Bowen, as was Dinan, an offensive guru that will show no mercy. Sweep the leg.. Quote

After seeing this year, i admit. I know nothing about sports, imjustasportsfan.. Luers impressed by beating the Legends. I am a homer for coach K. Legends may cover, Panthers..not so much..Sparty and the chargers put them in timeout. Bruins will str8 up spank them though. That offense is dare I say, better than both of those 6a programs, especially with another weapon hitting the field last week. Bowen is adding athletes to the field mid-season and creating highlight reels. Kinda stinks..would the mighty panthers rather have the history books read sparty or northrop as their worst conference lost ever? Quote
23andCounting Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 Upon further review, Luers may be a bit better than I give them credit for. But there's no way they are beating Dwenger in my opinion. Who's the latest addition for Northrop? Quote

I dont really mention names too often on here, he is a jr rb that was supposedly on JV and had only 15 carries this year. he scored 2 tds for the bruins, one where he leaped over the defenders at the goaline after making a nasty jump cut to get out in the open. He has to run track, that speed "popped" on the field. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 I’m really interested to see how this conference plays out over the last three weeks. What the heck happens if three teams or more finish with the best record? Who possesses the bell and for how long? Quote

It used to be a coin flip to determine who had it first. I think Dwenger will take it, only loss 1 and I can see the chargers taking care of those pesky bruins. Quote

I’d love to see the divisions split as evenly as possible and having the two division champs play for the SAC championship in week 9. That way one team gets the bell. Have the other teams in the conference play their counterpart in the opposite division so that it’s 2nd place vs 2nd place, 3rd vs 3rd, 4th vs 4th, and 5th vs 5th. 1 Quote

Here’s a scenario. Just spitballing here. Three non-conference games to be played weeks 1-3. Four divisional games to be played weeks 4-7 (2 home and 2 away). Week 8 is the SAC championship with the other teams playing their counterparts. One division hosts the other (Division B hosts odd-numbered years. Division A hosts even-numbered years.) Week 9 is cross-divisional games based on the divisional standings. Division A champ vs Division B runner-up Division A runner-up vs Division B champ Division A 3rd place vs Division B 4th place Division A 4th place vs Division B 5th place Division A 5th place vs Division B 3rd place Whichever division hosted the week 8 games now goes on the road for the week 9 games. Other ideas for week 9 could just be that you play a cross-divisional game against a predetermined opponent. Example below. Division A: Snider, Dwenger, Luers, Northrop, Concordia Division B: Carroll, Homestead, North Side, South Side, Wayne Each team is given a pre-determined list of three teams each for a potential week 9 opponent. The opponents are listed in order of priority. Highest priority is the team listed first and the lowest priority is the team listed last. Snider - Homestead, Carroll, North Side Dwenger - Carroll, Homestead, Wayne Luers - South Side, Wayne, Homestead Northrop - North Side, South Side, Carroll Concordia - Wayne, North Side, South Side Carroll - Dwenger, Snider, Northrop Homestead - Snider, Dwenger, Luers North Side - Northrop, Concordia, Snider South Side - Luers, Northrop, Concordia Wayne - Concordia, Luers, Dwenger Let’s say the division standings are as follows after week 7: Division A 1. Dwenger 2. Luers 3. Snider 4. Northrop 5. Concordia Division B 1. Carroll 2. Homestead 3. North Side 4. South Side 5. Wayne Therefore, in week 8, you have the following games: Dwenger at Carroll for the SAC title Luers at Homestead (2nd place teams) Snider at North Side (3rd place teams) Northrop at South Side (4th place teams) Concordia at Wayne (last place teams) Then, for week 9, you schedule match-ups from each team’s pre-determined opponent list that avoids a repeat match-up from week 8. Carroll was listed first (top priority) for Dwenger but Dwenger played them in week 8. Therefore, you go with the #2 priority team for Dwenger which is Homestead. Because Homestead is playing Dwenger in week 9, Snider is scheduled their #2 priority team which is Carroll. Luers played their #3 priority team (Homestead) in week 8. However, they can’t play their #1 priority team (South Side) because Northrop would have to play North Side which leaves Concordia with Wayne (who they already played in week 8). Or Luers playing South Side would mean Concordia plays North Side but that also doesn’t work because Northrop’s three pre-determined opponents are already schedule. So Luers would have to be scheduled their #2 priority opponent (Wayne) to make the rest of the schedule work. Northrop gets North Side (#1 priority opponent) and Concordia gets South Side (#3 priority opponent). Week 8 gave us Division A at Division B so week 9 gives us Division B at Division A. Homestead at Dwenger Carroll at Snider Wayne at Luers North Side at Northrop South Side at Concordia Edited October 1, 2025 by Frozen Tundra 1 1 1 Quote

Homestead at Dwenger Carroll at Snider Wayne at Luers North Side at Northrop South Side at Concordia I like it, Sac just opened up the conference schedule, this idea may take another decade or so. Problem with the haves and have nots may not be as glaring then with youth football going in another direction. Gate revenue for the bottom tier teams were one of the main reasons certain schools continue to play revered programs. Just adding in another non-conference game and using logistics to work out the last two weeks could create some excitement within the city. Crazy thing is this year, the only absolute wins were concordia and wayne. 1 Quote

It’s always fun to see how it turns out because there are some perennial powerhouses as well as several other consistently strong teams. The three things that have surprised me this year are Snider’s huge drop-off, Northrop’s rapid rise, and South Side not being the easy win they’ve been in the last 10-15 years. Usually they get slapped around by 28 or more but they’ve kept it relatively closer in their losses aside from Carroll. 1 Quote

This may sound crazy yet the rise of their girls flag football may be leading a south side football resurgence. Guys attending their games and the excitement about football seems to be at an all time high. The amount of players that came out this year is the most I had seen in the past decade. Archers always had a couple talented guys at skill positions and this year seem to play with a little more pride with their new fans. A quote from a movie as a coach led is dreaded team onto the field "And let us not forget, that your lady friends will be watching!" 1 Quote
