Adams is at .500 as the best of the SBCSC. Elkhart has the athletes Riley seems to not have jelled as a team with the talent they have. Marian has been a disappointment. Which team wants it more in this neighborhood rivalry? Washington has some athletes, but their numbers are low. QB has been hurt. New Prairie adjusting to a new coach and a young team. Penn @ St. Joe - No one expected these 2 teams to enter this game 8-0. Maybe one of them. Penn has played the better non-conference schedule. The atmosphere at Fr. Bly Field should be electric come Friday night. St. Joe has to play the perfect game and eliminate the penalties and turnovers that have happened the past couple of weeks. Penn will come in and play their game as they have all year. Quote

Well, winning games that we should (have lost to Lakeland in the past). Overcoming the loss of our returning starting QB who is out for the year before it started. A strong senior class with good leadership, New Prairie and Marian being down has attributed. Overcoming the loss of Hurley and another player who went to Adams. I figured {Penn would be touch with their transfers/move in. Elkhart has talent but will it come together as a real team. I think it just all came together to this point. After winning less than 40% of the games the past 4 years it is a turn around. The next key will be to sustain it. Wehn the year began without knowing of loses from last year I had 5-win, 3 toss ups, 1 a battle. So, we won the toss ups now into the battle Quote
GOLDRUSH1985 Posted October 13, 2025 Posted October 13, 2025 Someone correct me if I'm wrong , I thought I heard the St Joe defense recovered 2 fumbles( For Td's) in the endzone against Elkhart . That would mean St Joe's offense only scored 7 points against Elkhart . If this was the case , I don't see them moving the ball consistently against Penn . Quote
BLACKGOLD2007 Posted October 13, 2025 Posted October 13, 2025 I expect Penn to put up 40 during this game. This is my opinion the only thing that will prevent this is Penn beating Penn. If we see the Penn show up in the second half of the Mishawaka game, St. Joe does not stand a chance. If we get the Penn of the first quarter of the Mishawaka game, St. Joe will make it a dog fight. 93 more offensive point scored against the same competition. That is going to be the difference in this game. Penn should be more explosive in Special teams and in offensive weapons. Quote

There was one fumbled caused when they hit the Elkhart QB in the end zone fumbled and St Joe recovered. On the first play of the game, a running play to the left the SJ running back fumbled and another SJ player ran it back to the right and skirted down the sidelines outrunning everyone into the end zone Quote
ASJCPUMA Posted October 15, 2025 Author Posted October 15, 2025 It will be an emotional game, and the St Joe guys need to control their emotions. Game is won on the field and not with the mouth. It is one play at a time and see how the game plays out on the field. Quote
