Terre Haute South kicked off its high school football season with a 7-6 loss at Vincennes Lincoln on Friday night.

The game went to halftime deadlocked at zero both teams had opportunities in the second quarter to score, but an interception on each side prevented those ideal chances from being converted.

Coach Greg Barrett said his team didn't come in prepared and he thought they overlooked a good football team.

"The size doesn't always matter," Barrett explained. "They flat-out kicked our butt tonight."

Death, Taxes, and Evansville Memorial has a QB. That kid was throwing some very nice balls against Jasper on Friday night. The TD pass while rolling to his left in the 1st half was an elite throw. 

I have a feeling GIbson Southern should be higher than 6. Big one this weekend for Reitz as the younger Sorgi visits the Bowl.
