Heard an interesting argument on the radio the other day. The guy was saying the move to EV’s is a game changer in that it will be the end of the hoopty. HS kids won’t be able to keep EV’s on the road, due to costs of replacement batteries, shade tree mechanicing will be difficult with Uber tech and high voltage DC. My guess is we’ll see a whole new breed of hot rodders born, but the high school hoopty may well be a thing of the past.

Electric Vehicles and RV's - Interesting topic, especially to the guys in the RV industry.

An EV towing an RV - https://www.rvtravel.com/truck-towing-experiment-ends-failure/ This experiment was with a smaller, lighter trailer.  There is no way getting an EV towing a full size 5th Wheel with any satisfaction, unless you like leap-frogging from charging station to charging station......

Here's another one - https://ijr.com/journalists-tow-camper-behind-electric-truck-end-stunning-failure/

Towing an EV behind your motorhome - NO.  Get a trailer and park your EV on it to tow.  You can't "flat tow" an EV.  (and really shouldn't "flat tow" any other car for that matter even though many people do it effectively - just get a dolly or a full trailer)

As I have stated multiple times, the tech is not there for the masses. I’m a guy who does truck things with a truck, from what I’ve seen with EV trucks, I’ll leave them to the soccer dads for the time being. That being said the Ford F-150 Lightning is pretty cool for tooling around town or taking your kids to the lake for the weekend. Just doesn’t check the truck stuff boxes I need out of a truck.

The tech is there now, embrace hybrid tech.

Also of note Cummins is still headed down the Hydrogen rabbit hole.
