BTF Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Why does LSU continue to throw the ball up 42-0 in the 3rd quarter against a team that is decimated with key players sitting out? I'm not sure winning 63-0 vs 42-0 will earn him any more good graces by the LSU fan base. Can someone make sense out of this for me? Maybe a coach or former coach? 1 Quote
RingLeader Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Tough spot Its 3rd q and LSU backup QB in. They scored on a jet sweep Doesn’t appear to matter if they run or pass. LSU will be in the hunt for championship next year as return 18 starters and all 11 on offense. Quote
BTF Posted January 2, 2023 Author Posted January 2, 2023 I didn't realize the backup QB was in. I just turned it on briefly and saw them airing it out. If you're going to bring in your back up QB, then you might as well give him some pass attempts. Building for the future apparently. Quote

PHJIrish Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 As much as I dislike BK, I can't criticize him for running up the score against a depleted Boilermaker team. It was bound to be ugly, and it was. Not much a coach can do but play his entire bench. 1 Quote
