  1. Heritage hills game called at halftime due to tornado warnings and mutually agreed between coaches and officials
  2. I am a college football junkie that follows IU, Purdue, ND i look forward to watching Allen at Purdue… he will flourish in their offensive scheme. If he has a very good line coupled with a good receiving core, I personally believe he will plant himself as one of the better pocket passers among a long list of Purdue QBs who went on to NFL. Amazing how well Brady makes his reads at the high school level. I think he needs another 25 pounds on the frame though.
  3. For the guys who just “hate” that GS is having a “super team” this year and say that they are having a dominant season because of the transfer ins… I say get over it! even if they didn’t get a few transfer ins, GS still would be as good as they are now with these guys. its called “program buy in” and they started this at the lower levels and follow through middle school into high school. im not sure now, but I can recall their 6 th grade boys traveling in “summer fball “ team camps many years ago, So in other words, when many schools are off in the summer, their youngsters are working tails off—- so when school does start - their boys are already a level or two ahead of their pac competition. same with jv -varsity , they put similar work in 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 all off season. More than most schools. GS fans have expected this yrs “super team” to be super back when they were in 6th grade…so GS people and some of us at HH and other PAC schools knew this was the team!! GS needs to be fired up now and enjoy… as when Allen heads off to Purdue… they won’t be as good as this current team… as not every player will be a Brady Allen! They will still be good going forward, that’s because GS built a solid program. GS has only won 3 sectionals and 3 regionals … with their last coming like 6 years ago… so if I were on this team, or a fan at this school, I’d be going crazy too, as this team has the ability to get to Lucas Oil for a State Title game…. Something GS has never been a part of In Football. And if they do make it, I will be pulling for them… they have worked hard as a program to get to this point. GS only makes other schools get better. we have heard this for years at HH (that playing HH made teams) as from 2000 to 2010, HH had won 9 sectionals and 7 regional championships. HH then fell on the downside for quite a few years then fell short in semistate in 2014 and got back to State in 2019…. GS is on the right path, this is their year… and if my Patriots can’t knock them off in the sectionals… I will be pulling for GS … they deserve !

  9. I was thinking flip 8-3 GS (last season) with Lawrenceburg. I saw in person HH’s starting varsity against Jasper... they impressed me...as did Jasper varsity. Watched some highlights of central and GS.... was thoroughly impressed in Central running roughshod over GS if GS D1 QB doesn’t get some major help from others stepping up they could be looking at a 7-4 season
  10. Jim, I realize you are a passionate fan of your Danville Warriors, but I ask you to tone the smack/trash talk down when inferencing teams that are not named Danville Warriors. I highly believe your mouth albeit your fingers on the keyboard are likely leading to a ban. Just read that somewhere. We are in 2019 ... if that helps. best of luck next year!
  11. I believe the 2x we faced GS, which is a stout defense, HH put up 701 yds rushing in the 2 games. That was against 7 to 9 guys in the box depending on formation. GS is no slouch, I was extremely surprised HH moved the ball so well. The Tigers from Lawrenceburg had a excellent D too. I like our chances against DV but it will be a tough game. I feel it will be closer than most expect. Could be down to the last possession
  12. Thank God these game are played out on the field...GS is a really good team. All good teams aren’t perfect and these HS kids deal with enough adversity out on that field. If the boys looked tired in your version, then maybe they were, BUT they hung tough and won. They did exactly what they needed to do, rather than pray GS misses, they knew they had to somehow get a block, which they did. Same boys played in this game that blitzed GS 49-14. GS looked tired in that game— in my opinion. BUT GS regrouped and had a great run. Credit GS by putting 8 guys in the box all night. But they did that the first game too. HH deserved to win... 11-0 for many reasons and being tired is not one of them! GS is a class program and as T32 mentioned in another post reply, we only make each better in games like this... SR - GS - And HH constantly push each other. In fact this years big 3 in the PAC could toe to toe with ANY team in the SIAC this year meaning Central, Memorial MD and Castle. Reitz, North, Bosse all would be ran off the field based on what “I” see.... I’m a grid Coach too in this cyber football field!!
  13. GS should roll in this one. Sectional history, Salem has only 1 title way back in 94. GS has 3 sectional titles all since 2012 and since 2012 GS has been the marquee team south of Indy in 3A. GS will be tough to beat at GS. !!
  14. HH held Brady in check for 3 qtrs. HH line did get pressure on him more often than not, but Allen has good feet and throws well when flushed. This kid lit every team up he has faced, for HH to get 3INT and limit him to 14 pts is a statement
  15. Afterthoughts: HH line played very well on both sides of the ball. Everyone knew GS Can sling it and HH kept them in check through 3 qtrs. would never thought a running clock would be initiated in this , albeit late into the 4th qtr. HH did what absolutely had to do and that was eat the clock up with a punishing ground game. This game is done. Last year is still fresh in my mind when HH beat GS 31-7 at GS then in the tourney was 14-14 with 6 minutes to go in 4th and lost 24-14. Will be interesting
  16. Ball game HH 49-14 GS will be like a hornets nest if we meet in sectional. GS HER Number of Plays 79 54 Total Offense 403 476 Time of Possession 18:51 27:22 Rushing Attempts - Yards 34 - 196 52 - 476 Passing: Completions - Attempts 22 - 45 0 - 2 Passing Yards 207 0 Passing: Touchdowns - Interceptions 1 - 3 0 - 0 Fumbles - Lost 1 - 1 0 - 0 Turnovers 4 0 First Downs 28 19 First Downs - Rushing 14 19 First Downs - Passing 13 0 First Downs - Penalties 1 0 Third Down Conversions/Attempts 9/15 (60%) 6/11 (54.5%) Fourth Down Conversions/Attempts 2/4 (50%) 2/3 (66.7%) Penalties - Yards 2 - 15 2 - 15 Defensive Sacks - Yards 0 - 0 0 - 0 Punts - Average 2 - 33 2 - 4
  17. Another tipped pass HH INT HH on GS 41 yd line HH has 440 yd rushing against the Titans... never would have thought that! HH 1st down now on GS 31
  18. Wow. Patriots stuff 3-2 at goal, 4-2allen passes, incomplete, Patriots called for Pass INT. But GS also Flagged unsportsmanlike. Next play GS sacked. Patriots take over. HH driving again in GS territory
