  1. It sounds like the threshold for determining this was today’s numbers. Looking forward on Marion county’s data, they should stay in the orange the next few days at least. The only thing holding them in orange is the rolling average positivity rate is under 15%. The next few days to add into the rolling average are 11-10% or lower, thus keeping the average down. I think we should be fine.

113.5  Tackles for Loss on the season.   Mercy

    54 Sacks, with 2 kids having 20 + sacks.

    1a Kicker with 34 touchbacks.

South Adams has 116 tackles for loss. Only have 18.5 sacks, but most teams we face exclusively run the ball.

I agree with U that SA really did try to schedule strength in the cass game but unfortunately whiffed no fault to them.  but u have to agree that overall the schedule is just weak

It is, but what can you do? ACAC was strong at the start of the decade. Can’t fault them for Southern Wells not even having a team, or 4A Jay County being awful. They’re not purposely scheduling for an undefeated season, which you previously stated.

Ur right my bad.  They took a bye.

Talking a lot of crap and obviously don’t know much. They added Lewis Cass week 2 a year after they were number 1 going in to the tournament, before they even played. SA tried to get a better schedule, but there’s only so much they can do.

    This is such bs.

Man up and play the team in front of you. If you’re not competitive, get better. If a coach isn’t getting the job done, hold him accountable.

Winning a state championship isn’t in the cards for some teams and it isn’t supposed to be, that’s what makes it special. Regardless if you are a public or private school you still have to put in the 17 weeks of work to get there and not have a bad week or half that gets you booted.

You can say that at a big school, where coaching and developing 100 potential players matters. It’s much different at 1A where you either luck into a good gene pool or not.

Then it's not really about competitiveness if publics get a pass against other publics when they clearly may/do have an advantage.  You're going to tell me that it's not OK for Roncalli to stay in 4A and they have to go to 6A because they pray before games, but it's OK for NewPal to bludgeon Frankfort in 4A?

Back to DTs original point, do you think it’s ok for CC to be at state 6 years after starting a football program?

Explain “A” in greater detail please...

I assume with “B” you are referring to administration, though correct me if I am wrong.

How about just being a 1A in a metro area? Sure, schools don’t actively recruit, but now CC has the Indy area to get potential players from, while the Adams county schools have to pluck kids from a cornfield.

After watching highlights of the Heritage kid, That dude is exactly what a D1 Program is looking for. He is 6'5 230 and clearly hasn't even accidently wandered in to a weight room. They look at that kid and say we can pack on another 30-40 pounds on that kid and he has a great motor.

Miller has worked very hard in the weight room it is clear, but they look at his frame and say maybe we can squeak another 10 pounds on before it starts to impact in a negative way. And are we sure he's 6'4, there is a play on Miller's Hudl first four games high light reel where the Heritage kid is defending him and the kid from Heritage is clearly 2-3 inches taller.

I’m 6’1” and feel like he towers over me

He would be a great fit at a D2 Program like Hillsdale or UIndy who uses TE. His problem right now is NCAA isn't allowing any recruiting to happen. It makes it difficult on the players and the coaches right now.

What is the Heritages DE name?

    Kiel Eldridge

How big is Miller? I saw the regional game last season in person and I remember being impressed by him, but I don't recall him having D1 TE type size.

Quick Clarification: Ivy League and Butler are both in non-scholarship D1 Football. In order to have a D1 basketball program, If there is a football program schools are required to be D1. There are obviously schools who don't want to take on the expense of 85 full scholarships at the FBS level. They created FCS (formerly D1AA) and FCS Non Scholarship. FCS has 63 Full Scholarships to offer and FCS non-Scholarship offers academic packages. At the Butler and Ivy League the packages are still very competitive to those that D2 or NAIA offer.

6’4” and 240. He’s got a frame to put some size on. I’m honestly surprised with his measurables and production even more NAIA and D2 schools would give more offers as a project. It’s really annoying when the DE from Heritage who can’t even make all ACAC has offers from Purdue and Arizona State.

@Thor77 are the Starfires healthy since a few came off the field last week? Are you concerned about the secondary after a couple DBs got picked on? It took getting pressure to help them out and turn the tide.

As far as I know everyone is good to go. I think our DBs will be fine, that was the first time we faced a team that could pass like that in two years. They actually had decent coverage, but Farr was dropping dimes and those receivers made plays. Did much better after some adjustments.

Many people stay for more than 1 game so you would have more than 7700 per game. I think the estimates usually for the biggest crowds was in the 10k range. And there are plenty of empty seats at that especially in the end zone. That's why I'm thinking full capacity of the lower levels might be around 20-25k. That would put 25% at the 5-6k range in the lower 2 levels.

I like your calculations better. Even bring conservative with that number could be 4000 total. And they are working on making something happen, so I’m optimistic.

One thing i wonder is if the number if based on full capacity of LOS or the planned levels they were going to use. In order to get to 16k you would have to use the upper level. Does the IHSAA want to pay for extra staff to cover ushers and concessions and cleaning crew for the upper level to get to 16k? I'm thinking not. It will probably be 25% of whatever is allows in the 100 and 200 levels which is probably still a pretty big number that would allow more than just parents.

That’s what I’m thinking. I can find individual game attendance stats, but the highest total for the 6 game tournament is 46,000 fans, average of 7700 per game. Take that by 25% and that’s 1900 fans per game. And that’s just attendance, not capacity. But I would think a decent number to imagine now would be 2000 fans, 1000 per team.

    https://www.indystar.com/story/news/health/2020/11/12/coronavirus-indianapolis-here-new-coronavirus-restrictions/6265513002/

    FTA:

Live entertainment, cultural venues and events

Cultural venues, music venues and museums are reduced to 25% capacity. All non-essential hospitality and entertainment businesses must close at midnight.

Special or seasonal events, like concerts, festivals, wedding receptions and sporting events, are limited to 25% capacity. Those events may include more than 50 people only if the event has a safety plan approved by the county health department.

People are either really good at not reading, or really good at trolling and forcing panic. State does not seem to be in much jeopardy, the restrictions seem to be the same that they’ve been anyway for this event. Plus, Marion county is already working with Los to have state with some fans.
