The New Normal, round 2
swordfish replied to Muda69's topic in Gridiron Out of Bounds's Out of Bound Forum
But I'd agree with Gonzo that, in the USA, neither Farrakhan nor any other black person has the power to "inflict" racism on white people, so it is sort of a meaningless, "tree falling in the woods with no one around" debate as to whether there can be "black racism" in this country. https://100percentfedup.com/racist-msnbc-guest-claims-whites-dont-get-a-vote-on-whats-racist/ FTA - White people don’t get a vote! My people have been held in bondage and oppression in the New World for 400 years! My own counsel, will I keep on who is to be called “racist,” all right? So when these people — when these white Republicans try to tell me, and “Bagger Vance” standing behind her — when these people try to tell me who is racist and who is not racist, they need to understand that I do not care! But he is black, so he can't be racist.......SF is pretty sure this was not the America that MLK Jr. was envisioning....... -

That's right, I forgot, you still believe there can't be a black racist......What about Jimmy Kimmel and his blackface moment mocking black athletes? FWIW - SF Stands behind his original post answering your "all racists are conservative" rant with pictures of persons I can point at direct racist incidents that were largely ignored............ -

https://torontosun.com/news/world/lgbtq-activist-set-house-ablaze-killing-pets-in-fake-hate-crime?fbclid=IwAR1W2zWSnEWyjWie_p53xMev-_irgBp7EsbzZu0fpEDiwzsOjlrLRGWHebA&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&utm_term=Autofeed#Echobox=1551235458 An LGBTQ activist allegedly torched his own house in a desperate attempt to make the blaze look like a hate crime ala Jussie Smollett. Five pets died in the inferno. Cops say Nikki Joly — who lives in Jackson, Mich. — had organized a number of pro-LGBTQ events. But when the 2017 Jackson Pride Parade and Festival failed to generate the amount of publicity Joly wanted — good or bad — he became angry. Two days before the fire he posted on Facebook: “Yes, be angry, be very angry. Use that anger to force good! Use that anger to make change.” Cops say trans and gay Nikki Joly burned down his own house to draw attention to his cause. Inside were five pets who all died, including the German Shepherd. FACEBOOK The fire at his home was initially investigated as a hate crime by the FBI and residents of the city opened their hearts and wallets to help. Now, a new police report said the fire and its aftermath were a hoax to generate publicity for gay and trans causes. “It’s embarrassing. How do you do it to the community you have put so much effort into helping?” Travis Trombley, who is gay, told The Detroit News. Joly was at the forefront of a wide array of anti-discrimination legislation and was once named Citizen of the Year, the media outlet reports. But investigators are painting a different picture. Det. Aaron Grove told Metro News that Joly was “very deceptive” and possessed “layers of manipulation.” So there apparently aren't enough hate crimes to justify the legislation, so a hate crime needs to be staged.......

This past weekend in Pennsylvania, SF popped into a McDonalds for a quick lunch during a sales trip - and was able to order his Big Mac w/Bacon meal from a computer screen, pay for it, and the only human interaction was with the lady passing out the bags of filled orders and handing me my cup. (I did say thanks, BTW) -

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to deflect criticism of her ‘Green New Deal’ over the weekend; repeatedly yelling “I’m the boss” when it comes to climate-change policy and future legislation. “You know what? I don’t care anymore. Again, I’m at least trying and they’re not. The power is in the person who’s trying regardless of the success. If you’re trying you’ve got all the power,” “I just introduced ‘Green New Deal’ two weeks ago and it’s creating all of this conversation. Why? Because no one else has even tried… You try, you do it. Because you’re not. Until you do it, I’m the boss. How about that?” she yelled. So, she's the boss....

Yes he is.....Not a good example of a role model. https://deadline.com/2019/02/spike-lee-green-book-storms-out-oscars-blackkklansman-jordan-peele-1202564402/ UPDATED with details from backstage: While he didn’t take the stage like Kanye West did years ago on the MTV Video Music Awards when Taylor Swift won an award that he felt should have gone to Beyoncé, BlacKkKlansman director Spike Leedid the next best thing when the Best Picture Oscar was won by Green Book.ed Our Pete Hammond reported from the Dolby Theatre that Lee clearly was furious, got up and walked toward the back of the auditorium in a huff. He then turned back and appeared to get into an intense conversation with Jordan Peele, who was behind him. Lee paced the aisle and stormed to the back of the auditorium. When he came back, he turned his back to the stage during the speech.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/feb/24/terry-miller-andraya-yearwood-transgender-sprinter/ NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Andraya Yearwood hears the comments, usually from adults and usually not to her face. She shouldn’t be running, they say, not against girls. Yearwood, a 17-year-old junior at Cromwell High School, is one of two transgender high school sprinters in Connecticut, transitioning to female. She recently finished second in the 55-meter dash at the state open indoor track championships. The winner, Terry Miller of Bloomfield High, is also transgender and set a girls state indoor record of 6.95 seconds. Yearwood finished in 7.01 seconds and the third-place competitor, who is not transgender, finished in 7.23 seconds. Miller and Yearwood also topped the 100-meter state championships last year, and Miller won the 300 this season. Critics say their gender identity amounts to an unfair advantage, expressing a familiar argument in a complex debate for transgender athletes as they break barriers across sports around the world from high school to the pros. Yeah, gender identity had nothing to do with these kids winning the state title.......
