  1. Just curious. With the advent of open enrollment has there been an influx of transfers from the non-football playing schools in Greene county (Bloomfield, Shakamak, WRV) to the likes of Eastern Greene and Linton?
  2. Why don’t we condemn Mr. Bush and Ellen for a reason that really matters. Being Cowboys fans, ugh.
  3. If there is no demand for these products then they won't be produced. If they are produced to supply a small demand then they will be expensive and anyone with a brain in their head will look for a cheaper and more available alternative. In the case of lead paint, the prospective tenant or real estate buyer can ask for verification that there is no lead paint. If the seller or landlord lies then the buyer can sew them. It's easy and cheap to test products for lead so both parties can easily find out the truth.
  4. Teachers’ unions are fighting hard against educational innovation, but many welcome reforms are here to stay.: https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/10/school-reform-teachers-unions-battle-innovation/
  5. The Economy Keeps Growing, but Americans Are Using Less Steel, Paper, Fertilizer, and Energy: https://reason.com/2019/10/09/the-economy-keeps-growing-but-americans-are-using-less-steel-paper-fertilizer-and-energy/
  6. FTOP: You need to realize Dante, that big government is not the benevolent and altruistic overlord you desperately want it to be.
  7. Trump's Nearly $1 Trillion Deficit Is Worse Than a Broken Promise: https://reason.com/2019/10/08/trumps-nearly-1-trillion-deficit-is-worse-than-a-broken-promise/ Uni-party to the max.
  8. https://www.indystar.com/story/news/education/2019/10/08/tri-west-high-school-tyler-bruce-allegations-michael-springer-out/3913961002/ Interesting. Looks like the good 'ole boys network completely runs the North West Hendricks School Corporation. How dare a superintendent try to fire a local legend..................
  9. I can believe that. I lived in Bloomfield for a total of about a year during my college years. The town reminded me of lot of Rossville in the north, another 'basketball school' that continues to eschew football.
  10. Socialism Is the Greatest Threat to the Environment: https://mises.org/wire/socialism-greatest-threat-environment
  11. Sounds like Eastern Greene should consider contracting their football program. Stick to basketball like their superior neighbor, Bloomfield.
  12. Then why did the Archdiocese supposedly think it had the authority to declare Brebeuf "no longer a Catholic school"? Sounds like a job for the Pope to straighten this out.
  13. Ellen DeGeneres Defends Her Friendship with George W. Bush: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/ellen-degeneres-defends-her-friendship-with-george-w-bush/ Predictably, her response did little to curb the harsh criticism lobbed at her from the left, but her comments were nonetheless encouraging. It’s interesting that Bush received no censure from conservatives angry that he had been spotted sitting next to a progressive, lesbian celebrity at a football game, but DeGeneres continues to endure backlash for defending her friendship with someone across the political aisle. Though there is no shortage of vitriolic commentary across the political spectrum, it is increasingly partisans of the Left who demand ideological conformity, and total condemnation and rejection of those who fail to champion the progressive agenda.
  14. It should definitely be de-emphasized and no longer sponsored as an extracurricular activity by government schools (btw, the same with all current athletic and non-athletic extracurricular activities). It could continue as a club model, sponsored by private community organizations and groups.
  15. Of that I have no doubt.
  16. https://reason.com/2019/10/07/the-u-k-must-ban-pointy-knives-says-church-of-england/ Again, thank goodness for the 2nd Amendment. As one of the comments to this story states:

  17. So the "Catholic authority" if you will of the Jesuit order trumps that of an Archdiocese? Sorry, just trying to understand the Catholic hierarchy/bureaucracy here.
  18. But I thought Brebeuf was no longer a Catholic institution, at least according to the Indy Archdiocese : https://www.indystar.com/story/news/education/2019/08/05/brebeuf-jesuit-appeals-split-catholic-church-barred-holding-mass/1920187001/
  19. Good grief Dante, have you actually even read any of the quotes I have posted in this thread? First this: And this:
  20. Not a shock to me at all IO. I would just like to see some concrete evidence of your assertion. That's all.
  21. And nobody is saying that the IHSAA will send the "black SUV's" to South Newton. But one has to ask; has this complete lack of competitiveness over an extended period of time become a serious topic of discussion among SN administrators and most importantly the SN school board?
