  1. But the residents of Floyd County Indiana probably do because a good portion of them have some kind of economic or social interests (job, services, school, material goods, etc.) with the Louisville area. Same for the residents of Dearborn county and Cincinnati.

  6. Public Employee Unions Rule California https://reason.com/2023/08/18/public-employee-unions-rule-california/ What F.D.R. said decades ago was the truth; public sector unions are a scourge that should never have been allowed to come into being:
  7. At his age I'm sure this nonsense just confuses Mr. Biden. But his DNC handlers just tell him to nod, smile, and eat ice cream.
  8. ‘Gender Hybrid’ Children? https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/gender-hybrid-children/ What are the supposed hybrids? Gender Prius: Half girl and half boy Gender Minotaur: One gender on top and a different one on the bottom Gender by Season: One gender during the school year and another over the summer Gender by Location: At home, one gender, elsewhere another Contrary to the story, readers should resist the temptation to dismiss these views as fringe. “Fringe” today in America is holding to the view that children are of the sex in which they have been born and that the proper approach to treating gender confusion is to conduct an in-depth and at-length mental-health exploration of the child’s emotional state (as some European countries now insist). Indeed, expressing such opinions can be dangerous and could cause a parent to lose custody of their gender-dysphoric child or medical professionals to be branded “transphobic” and have their careers threatened. But on the gender-ideological left, there is no longer such a thing as “fringe.” After all, ten years ago, who would have thought that we would allow doctors to cut off the breasts of 14-year-old girls who feel they are boys — and that showing images of teenagers with two scars on their chests would become a celebrated phenomenon? Who would have thought that doctors would perform facial-reconstruction surgeries on teenagers to masculinize or feminize their appearances? Who would have thought that one of the highest officials at HHS would praise a “gender inclusive biology curriculum” for children that eliminates the word “mother” and replaces it with “gestational parent” or “egg carrier”? No, Ehrensaft — the official at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital mentioned in the Fox News story — is not fringe. She is very credentialed, frequently published in medical journals, and holds a position of great power and influence. She is also a professor at UCSF School of Medicine, specializing in pediatric “gender-affirmative care for transgender and gender-expansive patients.” I suspect she received these high-prestige positions because of her no-longer-fringe opinions, not in spite of them. “Gender Minotaur.” “Gender Prius.” Our poor children. Our poor children indeed. And just when I thought the gender-obsessed left couldn't get any nuttier.

  13. https://reason.com/2023/08/16/the-government-has-made-college-an-overpriced-scam/ Agreed. College is not for everyone, it never has been. Even though the government primary and secondary education system pushes it ad nauseum on the student populace. And also agree about the college degree requirements that more and more employers are dropping. In the Information Technology realm it is not your college degree that is important but the number of technical certifications you hold. And you don't need a college degree to read some books and take a certification exam.

  15. Yeah, well you all probably what I believe about the voting for the "lesser of two evils" scenario, which is what the uni-party has presented to this country for at least the last 30 years.

Thanks for sharing this info, I'll give it a try. I usually like Upland products, recently had their Paw Paw sour which was excellent. A few years ago I had a "Boiler Gold", brewed by People's Brewing Company in Lafayette. It tasted like old, stinky feet. But then again most of the products from PBC taste that way.
  19. Then by all means do that, with new material. Not with classics that were created that way for a reason by the author.
