  1. Anyone thought of following a horde of walkers?
  2. File under the category "you can't make this $hit up". This looks like a situation tailor made for David Thorne.
  3. It's akin to hitting the lottery, but they're out there!
  4. Tony Katz interview with Bobby Cox, this is the IHSAA's take on the situation. https://omny.fm/shows/tony-katz-and-the-morning-news/bobby-cox-commissioner-of-ihsaa In my opinion, this situation rests squarely on the shoulders of the school.
  5. @NPFB UC has offered 3 2022's. https://247sports.com/college/cincinnati/Season/2022-Football/Offers/ It has been my experience that mid-majors will make offers early when they think they've found that diamond, and by making early offers, the get that star that the big guys waited on. Unfortunately as I stated early, verbal commitments don't mean jack squat, and when the big guys come knocking.....see year later, I want to play on TV on Saturday night, not Thursday night.
  6. Again it's been a while since I've been involved, but if you're physically on campus, you're fair game. Aside from the obvious dead periods. Also keep in mind, these offers to underclassmen and "verbal" commitments mean absolutely jack squat. Until you sign on the dotted line, which can't happen until you're a senior.
  7. My guess is this is the case with pretty much any public access point. Money, touch pads for debit/credit cards, a hand rail ANYWHERE, magazines at the doctors office, touch screen on the Coke machine at Burger King, etc. I would argue too much disinfecting is probably more detrimental to our health than ingesting a little microscopic fecal matter.
  8. Robotics are becoming much more adaptable to multiple tasks and the price is constantly getting more affordable. The biggest issue for robotics in the early years was that they were built to do a specific task. When the process changed or that process was no longer needed, the robot was pretty much a dinosaur. Today's robots are becoming much more adaptable to do multiple tasks or being able to be adapted to different processes. The perfect factory will have one dog and one human. The human is there to feed the dog, and the dog is there to make sure the human doesn't mess with any of the machines.
  9. You can make unofficial visits on your own any time. I would assume most of these schools offer camps that athletes can attend. I'm assuming the offers are made then. Been a while since I've been in the recruiting business, but I assume most of this still holds true.
  10. Be the best a man can get! Kinda puts the Gillette SB ad in perspective doesn't it?
  11. http://www.kyagr.com/marketing/hemp-pilot.html https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidcarpenter/2018/08/28/kentucky-farmers-hemp-more-profitable-than-tobacco/#47be651c100f Tobacco farming is basically non-existent in Indiana anymore, this is a viable crop for farmers. In turn with an additional crop in the rotation, this could lead to less supply of traditional crops, thus more favorable prices for farmers. https://www.country-guide.ca/crops/should-you-be-adding-hemp-to-your-crop-rotation/ I have loosely followed Kentucky's program, based on my listening to KY radio. McConnell took care of the folks on this one. While listening to our backwards ass governor rail on the ills of cannabis, and promoting hate crimes legislation, KY is way ahead of us on this issue, an issue that really boost our agri-business economy.
  12. Indiana needs to move quickly on this, we're way behind surrounding states.
  13. Martina Navratilova recently spoke out about his, mentioning the unfair advantage of testosterone, I have a feeling she knows from experience. I do know that testosterone is a banned substance per WADA. It was Floyd Landis's ultimate undoing in cycling.
  14. I was listening to a Freakanomics podcast yesterday, your best bet to get into a top flight school is: 1)Have the grades/test scores to qualify. 2)Be good at Fencing. Odds of a college scholarship are exponentially higher than virtually every other sport.
  15. Am I the only one who finds "naughty language" like the least of our problems as far as retaining officials? I think this is a solution in search of a problem.
  16. ***Moving from VOC thread*** I'm left scratching my head with this discussion. One the one hand bashing Christians has pretty much become sport in this country. While the the bible may or may not offer death for the sin of homosexuality, I'm not aware of any instances in recent history where Christians are killing gays for being gay. On the other hand, we're suppose to embrace Islam as a "peaceful" religion, and celebrate diversity, and all the current PC culture. Yet there are any number of incidences in recent history where Muslims have killed people for being gay.

  18. Should I have a gun with me while I watch?
  19. I can agree 100% with this. Comparing administrative duties at the MS vs. HS is apples and oranges. HS is infinitely larger.
  20. C'mon man, this ain't wrastlin, it's wrestling. How about baby gonzoron?
  21. I would guess there was an issue. Have you ever read all of the warnings on a ladder?
