SAC headed in a new direction??

Seems like a big story is brewing in Allen County.
Dwenger plays as physical and tough as they get and the refs kept bailing out Roncalli on countless PIs. Without those drives staying alive Roncalli scores 14 less points. That physicality is how Dwenger has been dominating all season and the refs today did not appreciate it and continually protected Roncalli.
If week 4 is your line of demarcation then that could potentially be cut two ways. Serious argument of which one people prefer.
Roncalli-
Points Scored: 436
Points Against: 187
Dwenger-
Points Scored: 274
Points Against: 96
Seems like most people think Dwenger’s defensive performance against Roncalli was more about Roncalli then about the Dwenger.
Just in case people wondered if you add in weeks 1-3 it would add:
Roncalli-
Points Scored: 29
Points Against: 55
Dwenger-
Points Scored: 77
Points Against: 18
Did you or others not know this going in? Meaning was that a surprise?
As someone who has coached against them and watch them play several times, they definitely do Defense differently. And the funny thing is you’d believe you can then just run right at them and run them over but that doesn’t work either.
I am confused by this, when I watched the Dwenger V Roncalli game in week 1, #10 was the QB. When I watched the Chatard v Roncalli game #10 was the QB. When did this switch and then return to #10 happen?
@ASJCPUMA also just happens to leave out a major point to the loss to Penn. St. Joe lost 38-6 to Penn while Dwenger's two losses were by 3 points each. Then don't forget to add in the details of Carroll (FW) beat Penn 41-30 and Dwenger beat Carroll (FW) 9-6. I never like when people just leave out details just to try and make an argument. Hope all Fort Wayne area teams win and make it to State but at this point of the season a game can go either way because it is played by 16-18 year kids.
Opponents’ Records:
St. Joe: 70-72
Dwenger: 88-60
I think @Komets2727 is trying to point out the Dwenger points against of 8.23 is against much better competition then St. Joe points against of 8.46.
Either team can win but you are just dismissing who each team played by simply looking at a raw number.
Van Pelt even had about 150 on Dwenger but just couldn’t break free to score against them. At this point Dwenger holding Carroll to 6 is looking more and more insane and showing how great they Dwenger D really is.
@temptation curious why East Noble does not move or Dwenger get a bump when you compare their Leo scores when Sagrain jumped Dwenger significantly.
East Noble 56 - Leo 40
Dwenger 31 - Leo 7
Leo didn’t score until under 2 minutes to go.
@23andCounting How was the atmosphere at the game? What were your in person thoughts of the game?
I agree regarding Dwenger, I think people are overlooking how great the Defense really is. They held Temp’s #12 and #20 teams to a total of 9 points. Northrop almost doubled the amount of points they scored on Dwenger last night against Carroll.
