  1. A lot of empty seats the last two games. I don't expect a sell out.
  2. Wow, I cannot wait for Friday night. Penn will find out if they have actually improved as a program since Cathedral or if it same old Penn.
  3. Well they got two very easy calls very wrong during the game. Yes on came when the game didn't matter...the Warsaw TD. But, it was a blown call.
  4. The clock bled so fast..I think it was late 3rd or early 4th. It was right before the weird Punt situation. Penn was only up 14-3. Ball was thrown to the WR's right Warsaw defender didn't play the ball and prevented the Penn player to get back to the ball. Then the next play is the Punt failure/success.
  5. Warsaw scores on big play....with a nice no call hold on their only WR. but whatever...these refs are questionable 31-10 Mishawaka 20 - 14 4th Laville 28 Bremen 14 final
  6. Northwood 17 Northridge 14 Mishawaka 14 Concord 14
  7. It appeared to not cross the line of scrimmage....is the only thing we can think of. Penn intercepts pass...pick 6
  8. So, the refs make a terrible no call on a pass interference. Penn punts the ball straight into the air. Ball hits Penn grabs it, no whistle and Penn runs the ball in for a TD. ??? 21-3
  9. Fumble Warsaw. Penn recovers at the +34
  10. Last I heard 14-3 Penn TD 14-3 here. Mishawaka leads as well
  11. Sorry, got to the game late. Daughter's first Volleyball game was tonight. Got the W. Penn 7-3 half
  12. That is all fair, if it were a CFP committee I think you are right, they are probably looking at multiple variables. I think that outside Valpo's games vs CP and Penn, the next best game is Merrillville, which is a tough game, but the rest of the conference isnt very good. Andrean being down this year didn't help. Snider overall has two quality wins vs 6A teams, yes Warren did not live up to their normal expectations, but Carroll was a very good 6A team. I think Snider would likely take the overall #1 spot, but the loss to Homestead is big hurdle to look past. I like the Snider v Merrillville matchup you have in your final 4.
  13. That is fair, but who and how is SOS determined. Sagarin? I will give you the Summit is a better conference top to bottom than Conference Indiana.
  14. I love a team that has a strong run game that can exert their will on teams. A big Oline that just gets better as the game progresses. 94 Nebraska comes to mind, in how they dismantled a very very good Miami Hurricane D. I prefer a trap style of run game, kids in HS just do not like to be hit like that over and over. especially if they are being honed in on.
  15. I like it. I think Bloomington South has the most impressive 5A v 5A win ousting North last week, but what Snider did to Warren and then beat a good Carroll team is hard to overlook. I went with recent outcome bias. Valpo's two losses come against 6A schools with a combined record of 19-1.
  16. 5A is very heavy on Northern teams.
  17. Too be fair Temp, that is a good top 6.
  18. I think that depending on how some games fall teams such as Penn, Warsaw, Lawrence North and Fishers could find their was sitting at the door step of the four in. Fishers and LN are not far off as they sit right now. If they win their sectional championships They are sitting at 5 and 6. Depending who wins the Penn v Warsaw game has a good shot a f'in around and finding themselves in a Semi-state game....where they both will be sever underdogs.
  19. I only ask, because there have been situations when he was at Miskawaka that when it came to clock management did not make sense. Sounds like he has improved at that over time.
  20. Since the first CFP rankings come out today, lets see who your four teams in and first two out are in 5A. 1. Bloomington South 2. Snider 3. Valpo 4. Harrison WL 5. Merrillville 6. Decatur Central
  21. Since the first CFP rankings are coming out tonight, lets see who your four teams in are and who your first two out are. (of remaining playoff teams) 1. Ben Davis 2. Center Grove 3. Westfield 4. HSE 5. Cathedral 6. CP
  22. Warsaw at Penn, 7 pm: Anytime Penn goes into a game against an option offense, I get nervous. I expect Warsaw to come out fast and put Penn on their heals, similar to the Mishawaka game. The game boils down to the play of the Offense...can Penn move the ball through the air to back off some of the DB's and Linebackers of Warsaw to open up the run game. Penn could also push their WR out around the numbers to open up running lanes in the middle of the field. (but, that is unlikely) Penn wins a tight game 17-14 New Prairie at Culver Academy, 7:30 pm: I think NP wins this game and shakes off some ego, NP 28-7 Glenn at Knox, 7 pm: Knox is a dang good team. This does not go well for Glenn. Bremen at LaVille, 7 pm: LaVille finally has the pathway to a deep tournament run. LaVille takes care of business.
  23. Do you have issues with Bart's handling of the clock in late or pressure situations? Penn's coaches are so hot and cold when it comes to clock management, sometimes they are on top of it and others they don't seem to have a clue.
  24. Dude it was like 10+ seasons ago, I remember this team lining up from beyond mid field for a field goal. I apologize for not knowing the exact rule. Your input is greatly appreciated.
