This is going to be a shot. Sectional 1: Jeff. CP. Valpo (if they have higher enrollment) and LC Sectional 2: Nothing changes Penn, Elkhart, Carroll, Warsaw Sectional 3: Snider, Fishers, HSE and Homestead Sectional 4: Carmel. Westfield. Noblesville and Zionsville Sectional 5, 6, 7 & 8 nothing changes. I think the two schools that get moved up replace teams already in the North. Portage and Northrop.

With what is coming out of sectional 3 and having Westfield in their own sectional Carmel has a tall task. Warren just needs to get lucky against Center Grove. If they can build on their playoff success they may shock some people next year. But, they have Center Grove in their regional...Not liking their chances.
-
That sectional becomes one of the hardest in 6A....if not the hardest....just boils down to how good Carmel ends up being.
-
Haha, that is funny. I'm on your side of this bet, so I cannot take you up on it.
-
Just 2...or do you mean cases?

I hope Carroll bounces back from their let down against Warsaw....nothing against Warsaw. I think even though Carroll lost this year, is still the team to beat in North (sectionals 1 & 2) 6A. CP will have something to argue after their amazing season. Not including Snider. I rank 6A North schools 1. Carroll 2. Crown Point 3. Penn. (this does not include Indy area schools that are technically in the north.) 40 kids....that is amazing buy in from 1 class. even if they weren't stars.

So, did Warren make regionals this past season because the schools in their sectional were bad, or did they put something together in the playoffs? Is this something Warren can build off of after a rough 3 win regular season?
-
What are the outlooks for your teams? How many starters are graduating? Any bright young players that can make an instant impact? Does Ben Davis have the horses to run it back? Can Snider make an instant impact next year?

Thank you! sorry I missed that post prior. I will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Temp’s Top 25 (Preseason)

Im good. lol just wanted to create the buffer before I have to start trying to defend my stance. I think Penn has made strides forward. But, I would gladly take a schedule with Valpo, Snider, Mishawaka, Carmel and Center Grove on it. We may win two games out of the sort, but that is better than what is coming....Riley and Washington back on the yearly schedule until the NIC wanders off and finally dies in the bushes. If the defense keeps playing that way...there is a strong chance they are playing Penn, CP or Carroll in Semi next year. -
So, which teams are all moving up? I know Snider and Chatard are on the move. How is it then determined if a team moves down? enrollment or competitiveness?

Temp’s Top 25 (Preseason)

I think Snider and Valpo are those two schools that can punch up. If Valpo can stay healthy, they can make Sectional 1 and 2 nervous if not win one or the other any given year. Snider will give sectionals 3 and 4 a huge test. -
Temp’s Top 25 (Preseason)

I would take an annual beating from Center Grove to see if we are making any improvement as a program. The recent engagement with Cathedral couldn't have come at a worse time, most of it was played when Penn was uncharacteristically noncompetitive. Before everyone jumps me. Penn did not perform against Cathedral. I think that game may have been an outlier based on how Penn ended up the rest of the season. I am not saying Penn wins, but give it a do over....they play better. -
Temp’s Top 25 (Week 15)

Out of the six games I watched this weekend. My takeaways: 1A and 2A games....my God what are they feeding these kids in these small schools. I was impressed with their size and talent 3A....nothing really to note, other than Chatard is head and shoulders above that level of play. 4A...East Central is growing power in Southeast Indiana. It will be interesting to see what they do in 5A next year. 5A...Snider's D looked to be the best side of the ball I had seen all weekend. I was impressed by how they imposed their will on Decatur Central. 6A... I have given up on the "we the north can compete" argument...any time one of our teams gets an impressive win in Semi-State we go down and....buzzsaw. One day a team from the north will win, but until then 6A kings remain in 6A south... I love Snider football, I think they would put up a hell of a fight, better than the likes of Penn or CP have....we just don't get to see it...maybe next years team can be just as good so we can finally see what we all want to see. Ben Davis, Center Grove, Brownsburg or Cathedral take on Snider. Until then, my hat tips to the south. I hate (in the competitive sense) you guys, but I respect it. -
to be fair the BD game was closer than it should have been, Ben Davis left points on the field and made some errors early in the game that kept it close.... The problem is Ben Davis lived in the abyss of deep water while CP was playing in your normal diving pool deep water. When it started going Ben Davis's way, the game was over. That isn't a slight to CP, it is a testament to how deep and grueling Indy football really is. I hate it, I wish it were different. But, that is the current world we live in. Congrats to all the state competitors and to all the Champions.

Home Team coin flip results?
BLACKGOLD2007 replied to gindie's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
AGREED They didn't use it at all during the playoffs. -
There was a program that was in their last year this season....Clay High school...it took them playing 1A North Newton to get their first win since 2020 against Osceola Grace.... Clay went on to play three JV teams this season winning 2 of the 3 games. Sometimes, programs need to start over, The success factor concept is supposed to help with that, but man when a program has 9 wins since 2013...I think success factor didn't help.

But, that gives you all 6 games.
