  1. EVSC will be closing all school facilities beginning tomorrow evening, March 13 at 5:00 p.m. School closure to continue through Sunday, March 29, with plans to reopen on Monday, March 30, following spring break. However, we will continue to stay in close contact with government and health officials to determine if it is necessary to prolong this school facility closure. Beginning tomorrow at 5:00 p.m., all extracurricular events and practices are cancelled until school facilities are reopened.
  2. Indiana will do the same. Some corporations already announcing extending spring break weeks + "X" number of weeks. Next three months are going to get bad folks.
  3. I think when we did our bond...it raised property taxes on the average home $3.00 per year (or something close to that) until the bond matured...which it did early (I think) due to assessed values going up. I have slept a lot since then but those details are close enough to show....financially it was pretty easy for the community to swing.
  4. This shouldn't take long. There are no major Cons to turf.

  6. Dude can flat out coach....that is all I know. I get it now.
  7. As I ponder available coaches....I would think Coach Schnur might be a great fit for one of these openings.
  8. Just to clarify...is this what you are saying you think they could pull off? Heritage Hills W South Spencer W Princeton W Farmersburg W Forest Park W Boonville ? Gibson Southern L North Posey ? Washington W
  9. I do not....I know MV has resources and tend to have top of the line stuff. I agree that this should be a major consideration for potential coaches!
  10. I don't know about a sleeping giant...but maybe a sleeping good job. SS will be 1A in three years as enrollment continues on a downward trend. The best indicator on where a program is heading is the interest of the youth and the SS youth had 120 kids involved, nice numbers (nearly 1A) school. Also a strong 7th grade team (will be 8th graders this coming season).
  11. I don't think things change much at all for MTV schedule wise. Five games stay the same. They trade South Spencer for Mount Carmel, Forest Park for Scottsburg and GS for Jasper. Looks like they are short a game yet for Sept. 11th on the new schedule...could look at that game as a Vincennes replacement.
  12. Hi All, Not looking for any rumors here...we all know the rules. That said...who do you think we have out there roaming the state that might be a good fit for these jobs?
  13. I remember when someone used to say Roncalli it received a similar response to someone say "Mufasa" to Hyenas.
  14. GS....literally in the middle of a LOT of corn and some beans. The drone picture is before stadium upgrades. New press box and seats from light pole to light pole now.
  15. I wouldn't think any in our own conference.
  16. You need to probably estimate about 800k-900k per school. Castle has made a push on multiple occasions with multiple parent groups who had at least 50% lined up from the private sector. Not sure if Boonville or Tecumseh have done the same. Go get a Bond....raise property taxes $2.00 a year on the average home. If assessed values go up over the next few years it eats itself.
  17. Seems like the other openings in the area were filled with some really nice candidates. Hopefully South Spencer and Mt. Vernon will be as fortunate.
  18. For the record...we didn't have much trouble with their 8th grade team. The QB/Safety was potentially a varsity starter next year for MTV in football and a nice basketball player as well. He would be the one to watch in terms of jumping ship.
  19. That was tongue and cheek based on the earlier misuse/spelling of the word in this thread.
  20. This is my recollection as well. In addition, the proximity to the track is frightening.
