  1. I won't argue either way. But I can tell you there are at least a half a dozen factors I would look at if I were going into a Coaching job and the most attractive thing about Reitz is only 1 of those. No doubt Reitz will be a great opportunity for someone.
  2. HA! I don't know anyone interested but I know one definitely not interested!
  3. I know coaches that were contacted in previous years for AP that were not this year....and also how it came out so late. I think the whole thing was just pencil whipped looking at IFCA and a couple other data points.
  4. Lot's of winners in the new format in terms of doing what is best for their particular program and that varies widely as it should. Lots of flexibility for all involved.
  5. As I age my fingers are much faster than my brain....it really is a sad state of affairs. LOL My wife and I are both professionals working in Evansville since 1993. It's a nice place to work.
  6. Actually I have that backwards LOL. But hey...there is a pathway right!
  7. North Posey seems like the prefered spot for wayward X Central athletes...perhaps they are looking for a QB?
  8. With one school not "signing off" there is probably 0 chance of full eligibility.
  9. I bet they will...particularly if a relocation is involved.
  10. Moving the Banks HH transfer discussion to the PAC thread.
  11. To receive full eligibility...I believe there has to at least be a change of residence for non-athletic reasons. Otherwise there could be a limited eligibility situation where there would be a 365 day waiting period from the last time the player participated in his or her previous Indiana high school before being able to participate in Varsity athletics at the new school. I will admit my knowledge about Indiana transfer rules is minimal at best. There are a few on here who can chime in that know it quite well.
  12. So Sorry. Prayers for the Linton family and the family of John Paul Meurer.
  13. I can tell you over the past few years, the North youth league has severely cannibalized the Central youth league to the point it has about half the participation it did say 6-8 years ago. Athletes or not...from a ground up perspective North is the program on the rise and Central is the one on the decline. This will become more evident over the next 4 years.

  17. I think this change could help to turn the tide at Pike Central. More of the same at Washington I am afraid...they have plenty of kids...hopefully they can get it turned around. Basketball is so popular there but I can remember some very good Washington football teams.
  18. It's official. The Pocket Athletic Conference is going to divisions in football. The PAC board of directors voted on Tuesday to adopt several conference guidelines starting in the fall of 2020. This comes after the conference approved in June the addition of new members Boonville, Mount Vernon and Princeton and Washington starting next year. The real change will come in football. It has been widely speculated previously that the Pocket would choose divisions based on enrollment when it moves to 12 teams. Following Tuesday's vote, that will be the case. Using current school enrollment numbers, here are the following divisions. Large Enrollment Division: Boonville, Gibson Southern, Washington, Princeton, Heritage Hills and Mount Vernon Small Enrollment Division: Pike Central, Southridge, Tell City, South Spencer, North Posey, Forest Park. Tecumseh will remain an independent in football. The divisions will be reclassified every four years (2019, 2023, 2027, etc.) based on the enrollment figures at the time. Each division will have a champion based on division wins and losses. The following sports will play all conference schools with a conference champion being determined by conference wins/losses: boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls tennis, softball, baseball and volleyball. The following sports will host conference tournaments to determine a champion: boys and girls cross country, boys and girls golf, boys and girls swimming, boys and girls track and wrestling.
