  1. This Map doesn't show the new McCutchenville elementary.
  2. https://district.evscschools.com/UserFiles/Servers/Server_74688/File/About Us/Attendance Districts/evsc-building-map.pdf
  3. Which school do you think should close? With the "new" North I think the geography is pretty good.
  4. The district mapping needs fixed to actually align with geography.
  5. Having pockets of basketball tradition or small schools that only play basketball hardly makes this a basketball state. The perception of those outside the state may have shifted by now if it wasn't for the movie "Hoosiers". The fading memories of Knight and Keady mostly just live on in the minds of die hard old timers. Also, the memory of packed little Gyms, in any town with more than 500 people as the main social even in the community, is long gone. Such is progress.
  6. Yeah...the problem is getting those kids to activities that aren't any other time than right after school and even then, getting them home.
  7. I'm sure there are places in Indiana where basketball is still king...but I haven't been there.
  8. I think pre-Covid Indiana HS football game attendance vs basketball game attendance numbers might tell an interesting story.
  9. I think it's been that way for many years now. School consolidations and class basketball changed that landscape a long time ago.
  10. Hard to steal hand signals off a TV broadcast LOL
  11. I get it....but I also miss the days when a conference affiliation meant more than a common schedule.
  12. But if you have an in conference rival someone else wants film on....do you NOT provide it because conference loyalty is stronger than wanting to see your rival get beat LOL? Regardless if they can get the film someplace else or not?
  13. I'm sure many of us have been approached in the playoffs by an out of conference team wanting additional film on one of our in conference opponents. How do you handle that? Do you refuse to provide it out of some sort of conference loyalty?
  14. Tell City loses a bunch.....but you might be right.
  15. Pre-Season Conference Rankings: This is to get this thread going again. I spent 120 seconds doing extensive research on these rankings. Large School Division Boonville 4 Gibson Southern 1b Heritage Hills 1a Mount Vernon 3 Princeton 6 Washington 5 Small School Division Forest Park 2 North Posey 3 Pike Central 6 South Spencer 5 Southridge 1 Tell City 4
  16. North could very well be the next landing spot for free agents, just need a bus that runs south at least to Morgan Ave. to run daily....twice a day....LOL. We will call it the Husky train. Maybe make a pickup station at the old North.
  17. So are you saying that "virtual schooling" provided by the state is something different than where schools did class room cameras and google meet to provide their own "virtual learning option"? Or maybe nobody did that and that setup was only used in hybrid situations.
  18. I might be missing something but if a kid is enrolled in your school for any type of learning (in the seats or virtual)....shouldn't they be counted? I know the state has said early on that school corporations had the option of allowing virtual kids to participate in extracurriculars. Therefore, I say count them all just like you always would.
  19. Put my readers on....I see it now (thanks!). That would be a really big school...especially to be on an island like that.
  20. What would the enrollment be of the two schools in Option 5?
