  1. Let's talk predictions for next season. First on the docket...who will be the next HC at Mt. Vernon? Big School: I think Boonville takes a small step back. GS should float about the same ...perhaps an improvement depending on how the trenches materialize . HH was predicted by everyone including myself to take a big step forward last season and it didn't happen...it will happen this season with maybe a "back to 2014" look for the Patriots. I don't think Mt. Vernon is a contender this season, probably a two horse race. Small School: NP really likes this group that will be seniors....can they knock of SR this season? I have heard TC really likes the class that will be Juniors this year...will they be in the mix?
  2. If only our educational systems were even close to the biggest waste of our tax dollars, it's one of the few places I don't mind mine being spent.
  3. I am a little surprised more guys on this thread haven't seen this one.
  4. I think some coaches just deal with it....and if your not a tempo team you might not care.
  5. @Bobref Bob, what are your thoughts on inconsistency regarding making the ball ready for play (every down not just first down)?
  6. Don't forget his daughter coaches girls basketball at Jasper.
  7. Titans announce 2023 schedule:

  10. The biggy I see in SW Indiana is the ref who stands over the ball until the defense is basically set....as if he is waiting for them before allowing the ball ready for play. This makes tempo offenses not so tempo.
  11. We can just close the thread now! LOL

  17. Agree on the progress. Hopefully they get some quality candidates.
  18. Paul made sure lawyers were no longer allowed in the hearings so that he can continue to bully less sophisticated parents. This is mostly due to Crown Point-based lawyer Michael Jasaitis winning every single transfer appeal he was a part of. Jasaitis still advises families on how to approach the IHSAA when they are getting the shaft.
  19. Can anyone confirm or deny that these lists should come out next week?
  20. No argument that Castle punches below its weight. Sheer numbers should help to offset the P/P enrollment advantage. My mistake on recent all sports trophies. I am working on some more concrete data but I am firmly convinced we aren't even close to ERM as NP is no where close to MD. Just using the eye test over the past decade we put a product on the field probably much closer to MD than we do ERM. This is why I have never really seen ERM as a "rival" ...more of a goliath that we had a couple opportunities to try and slay. If they do private right....noone in 3A should be able to touch them under the current broken system. We all know enrollment alone doesn't consider the student population factors. We have plenty of soccer only kids....baseball only kids as well (that probably a pretty ubiquitous challenge across publics and privates).....doesn't change the fact we are pulling from a smaller pool of quality success driven student athletes in the building per capita enrollment.
  21. It's a start but it's reactive...I would argue we can predict success with a pretty good degree of accuracy proactively.
  22. It's not even close to public and we all know that. I didn't ask my kids to only think of boys. Lets put it this way....GS and MD are probably really close in the effective student body population. GS and ERM are not close. ERM competes with Castle for All sports conference honors....how is such a thing possible? We know how it's possible and it is what I have put forth.
