  1. We are back to talking about how great feeder programs are what separates great P/Ps and great Publics. No Sh!t. I say the top third of all teams in the state do football well....almost every aspect. Those qualities have little to do with the problem. The reason is that P/Ps simply have different enrollment types vs publics and have more athletes per capita. It's very simple. Enrollment is literally the worst way to compare these two dissimilar institutions. Yet we have guys on here spouting out philosophical BS regarding equality of outcomes, politics of envy bla bla ba, when they know damn well what the real issues is. This isn't a society or an economy......it's a game for children with rules. I'm pretty sure Friedrich Nietzsche didn't play football.
  2. I got them from Maxpreps which might be a tad better LOL
  3. LOL....this is true! And that game was about the only thing we did good that year....and Oh wait...the guys was me!
  4. The C&P incorrectly reported that year that Ken Mills had the most rushing yards in a game that season....when in fact is was a guy I know from GS.
  5. contact.....I wish they would fix the damn edit timer.
  6. I complete agree. Still doesn't change that fact that the way we currently do contract tracing for the unvaccinated is like killing a gnat with a sleg hammer.
  7. I'd like to see a state-wide statistic on how many kids that were contact traced out of school actually tested positive for COVID at any time during their quarantine. As part of my own non-scientific research locally....I am coming up with something lose to 0%.

  10. That's what you think...you should hear them at the Baptist Pot Luck in the church basement.
  11. And you will always have those who are perfectly fine lining trophy cases with an advantage they are fully aware of and understand. It's human nature....I paid for this damn experience therefore I deserve an unfair advantage in a game played by children!
  12. What a meat grinder we have in 3A....the IHSAA is now doing guest appearances!
  13. That stuck out to me as well. I hope you are right on GS!
  14. I've been at home about the same amount of time....can work from anywhere, but it feels a bit like groundhog day.
  15. One has to wonder how much $$$ is going out the window for hourly rate in this thread right now.

  18. Let's hope state championships aren't the measuring stick for any proposal. Where is Tango....he would enjoy all this lawyer speak?
  19. THIS. Isn't the purpose of the IHSAA to solve problems for their membership, what they perceive to be the greater good? Surely some of our P/P friends are tired of reaping the unfair advantages associated with disparities in enrollment type.
  20. Fair enough, I see where you stand and respect your position. But we will never agree at least with respect to high school football. I support some competitive balance in team sports for children and it really has nothing to do with getting anyone "out of the way". Amazingly I've done a considerable amount of winning with this philosophy......go figure (must be my protestant work ethic). Enrollment type disparities are huge and shouldn't be ignored. Winning on an even playing field is much more rewarding in my view than winning when the deck is clearly stacked in one's favor, but then again maybe we poor publics can keep hoping we are the Hickory Huskers and embrace the joy that the "journey" brings.
