  1. If a program misses a scrimmage/game because of two positive coaches or not...they are doing it wrong.
  2. As is expected. These events are hardly news.

  4. Yes and before you point it out we are currently on the States naughty list for our uptick in positivity rate for a 7 day period. My understanding is we had a church with a mini outbreak.
  5. We are THE top academic public school in our area....surely you aren't insinuating that the "smart" people are the ones shutting down buildings for a few positives. In terms of Rochester specifically...I know nothing about the details there. There could be more reasons than I am not aware of to justify their actions. My comment was to protocols and that "cases" should be expected literally everywhere. It's not a reason to shut anything down. "Cases" are not the panic button statistic. My guess is (and this is purely speculation), that their could be as many as 700 asymptomatic "Cases" in the building EVERY day at Toyota. Somehow, no one goes to the hospital and no one dies.
  6. Thank goodness my kids go to school in a district that doesn't panic over "cases". The protocols are effective. Our 7,000 employee Toyota plant proves that every day. Districts that "punt" at the first sign of a few "Cases" are throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It is absolutely mind boggling to me that there are actual living breathing human beings that think at the first sign of any positives in the building you need to shut the whole operation down. Just completely insane, there is no other word for it....insane.

  8. @GSHSFootball will host Missouri 5A Jackson High School on Saturday, August 29 at 1:00 PM. Jackson finished runner-up in the MO state championship game in 2019. This game will take the place of Owensboro who had to cancel due KHSAA guidelines.
  9. Great day here in SW Indiana also. Lot's of work gets done around the state today!
  10. What a great day for our state!

  12. My wife and I also disagree on a few things when watching a game. The appropriate volume level being one of a few LOL.

  14. That damn Hamilton County...LOL
  15. You really seriously believe that? That no one will play if Marion County doesn't play part? I can tell you with 100% certainty that the rest of the state can and will play without Marion County. The only way it doesn't happen is if the IHSAA does a 180 on it's stance about leaving it up to the school jurisdictions to determine if they want to play or not. Actually it might be refreshing to have the Mega schools out of the way for a season LOL.
  16. That’s a great question. It would be a bit hypocritical if they allowed it.
  17. There is absolutely no reason we will have a partial season unless someone gets their panties in a wad over rudimentary case counts. That said Marion county might not play ...but who needs Marion county anyway LMAO.
  18. Beating them depends on the year and weather I'm told.
  19. Well if we could see Covid-19 moving in from the West and settling over the field on a balmy July evening....we might stop play and go in the dugout. Think about what you just said.
  20. You can rest assured it has nothing to do with player safety.

  22. I know dozens of kids who have had COVID-19. Not a single hospitalization. Yet the folks preaching for Spring Football say it's to protect the kids??
  23. My freshman has a greater chance of being hurt driving to a game than from anything related to COVID-19. Those are simply the non-political non-biased facts.
  24. You might find it interesting that I align with you more than you might think in terms of politics. But you see, folks like you are a big part of the problem with why we are where we are today. I don't judge the content of my friends or associates character or worthiness based on their political affiliation, much less who they will vote for this election cycle. What makes high school football great is how kids from all different backgrounds come together for a common purpose. A LOT of the adults don't get that anymore. It's why we can't apply a simple set of common sense protocols as a society. I happen to be educated pretty far beyond my intellect and I believe firmly we should be in school in Indiana in the fall (there could be a couple of exceptions), and we should be playing fall sports.
