Not sure. What week was it scheduled? I think we can make an educated guess that if the PAC/BIG 8 thing happens (and I'm still not sold), that Boonville will most likely only have the availability for non-conference games in week 1 or week 2.

I am pretty certain they have secured games with at least 2 of the Big 8 schools for the 1 remaining year. My guess is they went in with a pretty good idea that a schedule wasn't going to be a problem so they could give the two finger salute to the Big 8 on the way out the door.

I would argue doing the merger now would make scheduling must less complex at least for the Big 8 teams. The only real challenge in my mind is the existing contacts, particularly on the non-conference side, that both Big 8 and PAC schools would have to walk away from.

I might get it now. District play in IL actually starts 2021. The Big 8 feels it was being “nice” giving everyone a year to prepare for that by setting a 2020 date. MC is basically saying screw you guys...you expect us to go out and make a bunch of one year deals? We will just pull out now.

Twitter is buzzing with folks saying the big 8 “ousted” Mt. Carmel a year early. What I have heard is Mt. Carmel sent a letter to oust themselves. Not sure why they would want to do that a year before their district play begins.

Perhaps the merger can be ramped up a year ahead of schedule and actually be put in place this upcoming season.

It looks like the PAC schools will vote next week. Word is it will likely pass. Then, I suspect the BIG 6 will have to have some sort of vote or something, no idea how that works or when it would happen.

Our methodology for our 1st -8th is the exactly the same as the other quality programs in SW Indiana and there is no possible way we can identify a nice group for us by the 5th grade. You should probably read my post again regarding “feeder scores” factors zero percent into my statement. You have made it clear on multiple occasions you simply don’t understand our model. Come up sometime and I will show you...for free.

Yeah...it goes much deeper than feeder “records” and has little to do with athletes. Usually the biggest factor is group buy in (parents and players) to the formula that we feel produces a quality varsity result. We have to build things differently than I suspect what your used to.

I guess if this thing passes they will have months to work out details of the scheduling...or I wonder if that is all laid out upfront? This is the part I haven't heard much on.
