  1. A similar type solution as you propose for QB is what should have happened in 2018 but didn't. And in the PAC you might see an "End" with 300 yards receiving get all conference in football as long as they are really good in another sport (suppose it's some sort of name recognition thing). Looks like most conferences have 2 RBs and 3 WRs (SIAC for example). I just think our list is very old and needs some tweaks, particularly in the new alignment. At Large in both O and D is always useful to solve issues. Sometimes folks misconstrue old rules and bad culture as "tradition". Do what is right, fix what is wrong....it's what leaders do.

  4. Not a factor in the PAC (not saying it should or shouldn't be)..but it isn't. Hopefully things will be better with the new blood in the conference, but since 2012 at least our All Conference process is about as non scientific as it can possibly be. I have many specific examples 2018 is just one. Not to mention things like having two "Ends" and three "Running Backs" as All PAC positions. Hopefully some of the old bad habits and processes will be ended in the new alignment.
  5. It’s ok, you don’t need to understand (and I wouldn’t expect you to as a three post member). Herecomestheboom and I have perfected our relationship over the years and much like a fine wine it just gets better and better. He knows I respect their program...but he expects me to give him crap on here and I expect no less from.
  6. Got the W...what did you guys get again...bro?
  7. Maybe you can find some advice for Wilkerson on how to beat them.
  8. Our plan was to let him run himself out! LOL
  9. It’s past your bedtime.
  10. We are 4 games in bro.
  11. Pour Haus is top notch....do NOT miss that drive!!
  12. The game will be live streamed on PPV at: https://www.ihsaatv.org/Boonville/?B=193407 OR You can listen as always to the Voice of the Titans, 89.1 FM, The Bash
  13. My experience is the same.
  14. My guess is that 99.9% of kids contact traced out due to class room contact with masks on for 50 minutes will NOT get COVID-19. Why they can't get a test after 5 days to get back into school is just nuts.
  15. Washington gave us ridiculously short fields on turn overs and special teams...that didn't help.
  16. He means the cans....the cans of whoopazz!
  17. Coach Jewell's "over all record" is as follows: Mitchell, IN HS assistant coach 2 years; Tell City assistant coach 5 years; Fort Branch head coach 1968-1973, with a record of 42-9-3 and undefeated in 1972; Gibson Southern head coach 1974-1986, with a record of 86-45; overall record as head coach for 19 years of 128-54-3 and with only 1 losing season in those 19 years.
  18. If we had been in school Monday I don't think they would have had to shut down. The shut down has nothing to do with the Covid cases or fear of more....it's the ridiculous amount of contact tracing that needs to be done....if you do it per state guidelines. One positive resulted in 15 kids "contact traced" out of school....another positive resulted in 20 additional kids being contract traced out of school. We have a lot of kids for our building and have spaced out to the best of our ability but achieving 6 feet for everyone is going to take a Hybrid schedule.
  19. 1 freshman football player involved. This is GSHS only...not the elementary/middle schools. It is only to buy some time for contact tracing around a couple positives in the building.
  20. I don't mean to imply that....and youth programs are only a piece of the puzzle. That said, it is one good indicator of future success. So Central might be able to maintain for a long time, I'm not sure we shall see. But....North has some good indicators for increasing traction on the horizon.
  21. Many of us saw the rise of Central many years ago. As we were building the TYFL Bob Zoss was doing a great job creating a quality youth league at Central...large, organized and popular 10 years ago. Much of what you see now is a fruit of that labor combined with the typical shift of athletes to whatever the flavor of the day is in the SIAC. That said, once the building was complete with youth facilities at North High School it took a large chunk out of the Central youth program and the energy has shifted the last 4 or 5 year to the North program. The fruit of that labor is on the Horizon as well.
  22. I don't care where SR is or where they thought they should be...they know what's best for them. That said, my sources had indicated it was at least negotiable on what division you landed in. Again, the beauty of the new setup, (If our SIAC brethren want to make ridiculous arguments about how tough the P&Ps have it in the SIAC with their tiny enrollments or not), is that schools in the PAC now have the freedom to create what they were looking for, whatever they felt suits them best. It clearly has already given some schools new life, new energy and new media attention for the kids. There is no downside. And at the end of the day that is what drives folks in Evansville nuts is when other programs in the area get media attention.
  23. I took 252 to 69 on they way home, I didn't time it but we stopped to eat at Freddies and still beat the buses home.
  24. They came to us for the Freshman and JV games on Saturday morning. I can tell you when we went up there for the varsity game in the charter buses we took 64 to 65.
