  1. I could only fathom a guess but they've had quite a run of mediocrity, their last winning season being 2009. I would guess a combination of a lack of community/administration support and poor facilities. They've got a 4th year coach and a new turf field to start this season so maybe that's changing. No idea what their youth league is like.
  2. The teams in this conference are definitely going to look a lot different this year, but I think the standings will shake out pretty close to years past. Who comes out on top might be a toss up between a few teams, but I have my hunch. Leo and EN both graduated a ton of talent and both will look drastically different. Leo installing an entire new offense under new leadership. Can they hit the ground running in year 1? Call me skeptical like always lol. Bolt from CC and Williams from NH both gone, both the leaders and field generals of their teams. Their replacements will have a huge impact on their teams' success, whoever they are. Dekalb is my sleeper.. they could surprise a team or 2 and shake things up although a conference title is still out of reach. HN and Bellmont still bringing up the rear. Norwell is probably my favorite. This senior class has won A LOT of ballgames going all the way back to 7th grade and with the drop off in talent at Leo/EN this is probably their best chance in years. I could see the standings shaking out like: 1. Norwell, 2,3. EN/LEO 4,5. CC/NH 6. Dekalb 7. HN 8. Bellmont With any of Norwell, Leo, or East Noble winning the title.
  3. Leurs scheduled EN for week 1 of 2023. Only a 1 year contract.
  4. Wouldn't surprise me either. Although year one I gotta lean Snider and it might not be close lol. EN is losing a LOT. Lots of leadership but also LOTS of production.
  5. I agree. It was a great get for EN to get Snider on the schedule for 4 years. I know the coaching staffs of both teams have tremendous respect for each other so I knew this was a possibility. I'm just surprised at how quickly it was announced, and wonder what other schools Snider had to consider. And like someone above said I would expect Snider to now look for a bigger/tougher school to play in week 1.
  6. I hear ya there. I'm honestly surprised Snider scheduled EN so quickly.
  7. Big shout out to the heart these kids are showing. Pretty sure the center from Andrean suffered a bicep/shoulder injury but that’s not gonna stop him… snapping left handed now and doin what he can with one arm! Awesome!
  8. Summit City Sports will be broadcasting for the IHSAA.
  9. Congrats!! Linebacker play won that game for you guys.. Very Impressed
  10. Northridge upsets Leo in OT. A missed XP from Leo cost them. 27-26 final
  11. Leo 20 Northridge 20 End of regulation.. did not see that happening.
  12. Yeah you're right, D-1 might be a stretch but let me phrase it this way.. He has 30%ish of Leo's carries on the ground, avg 11+ypc with 1300yds and 19tds on the season. If he was the centerpiece of their run game he would be 2000+ with 30tds or more. That's not Leo's offense though. And this game will not be close.. This is not the same Leo team from last year.
  13. Someone you didn't see last year is Sheron. Missed his junior year due to injury after playing mainly DE his sophomore year. Dude is a stud and I think had he not missed last year he would be getting way more college looks. He's a D-1 RB. Good luck with him lol.
  14. Another crazy game between the two schools. I think the first meeting came down to Leo converting that 4th and 8 with 2 minutes to go, and this game can be pin pointed to a couple plays here or there that would have changed the outcome again. Really, really impressed with Barbour on that final drive.. Kid has ice in his veins. Such a shame it had to come in the opening round.
  15. Leo scores with 5 seconds left in game Leo 32 EN 29 Final
  16. EN scores on 3rd play EN 29 Leo 26 1:55 left in game Rowan Zolman is a man!
  17. Leo punches it in, 2xp is no good Leo 26 EN 21 2:20 left in game.
  18. Leo driving inside the EN 20, 2:35 to go EN 21 Leo 20
  19. EN defense comes up with a stop and blocks the punt, 1st and goal at 5 yard line Scores on first play EN 21 Leo 20 6:11 left in ballgame
  20. EN can’t punch it in on 4th and goal, Leo takes over 11 minutes left in 4th
  21. Leo 20 EN 14 7:28 left 3rd quarter
  22. EN 14 Leo 14 Halftime Leo to receive 2nd half kickoff.
  23. EN 14 Leo 6 1:51 left 2nd quarter
  24. EN 7 Leo 6 7:58 left 2nd quarter.
