  1. I remember one year a team from the state to our east won the national title with a third string QB.
  2. You know predictions have zero impact on the actual contest correct?
  3. I’ve seen this sentiment elsewhere and can’t really argue, especially with the QB injury. That being said, an undefeated FSU should still get in the playoff IMO.
  4. Respect your passion my man. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving and enjoy the games this weekend.
  5. This will be a great off season topic. But for now I’ll say this… Level of competition HAS to matter in this particular instance. You can’t compare what LCC/Luers accomplished to what Warren/CG did. I love a good debate more than anyone as you know but this is an open and shut case.
  6. Already said I don’t have a feel either way. Punting on this one.
  7. I could be totally mistaken but I believe DC’s QB was injured early in the season and may have missed the Whiteland game. Could be way off here. I think so.
  8. I want @Komets2727 (the guy who in 6 weeks has gone from “no way Luers makes it to the state finals” to “Luers will win…defense is stout” to tell me. Obviously he has a feel for North Posey despite being 300 miles from the school’s doorstep.
  9. I have absolutely no feel for this game.
  10. Anyone who will listen.
  11. Great work. But even if CG had won 4 in a row I’m sticking with those Warren teams. They were 56-4 and outside of the 4 games they lost, only 4 wins were one possession games.
  12. Either. I’d have to think the first list is small but may have a handful of names…the second one probably more common.
  13. Back on topic…anybody have knowledge of a list of first year head coaches to win a state title? I don’t but have to believe BD’s Russ Mann would be in a pretty prestigious group were they to win Saturday…
  14. CG’s recent run gets my vote as #2…and it’s a distant second IMO. Many of the contests involving those Warren teams were over when the schedule was released.
  15. Honest question…why was Bloomington South’s Sagarin rating so high?
  16. Here we go…for fun. By IFCA region: 1. Crown Point 2. Penn 3. Snider 4. Harrison 5. Mississinewa 6. Brownsburg 7. Ben Davis 8. Center Grove 9. Heritage Hills 10. East Central Still some damn good teams being left at home. Seeding em 1-10 and giving the top two byes. 1. Ben Davis 2. East Central 3. Center Grove 4. Brownsburg 5. Crown Point 6. Snider 7. Penn 8. Heritage Hills 9. Harrison 10. Mississinewa Round 1: Mississinewa @ Center Grove (winner gets East Central) Harrison @ Brownsburg (winner gets Ben Davis) Heritage Hills @ Crown Point (yikes) Penn @ Snider Neutral sites also always an option. Gives 5 non 6A schools a chance to take on the big boys.
  17. What are your thoughts on 3-4 teams from the same conference making the college football playoff next year when it goes to 12 teams? You keeping out a 10-2 Oregon/Penn State because they finished 3rd/4th in the Big Ten? LSU at 10-2 in the SEC? And HSE’s SOS is remarkable compared to Carroll.
  18. Georgia beat Ole Miss. Poor analogy. Try again mathematician.
  19. When did Center Grove beat EC?
  20. I have higher expectations of a state final contest than a “good showing.”
  21. I just copy and pasted my most recent poll. Why would Snider get the nod over HSE who also beat Carroll, and by a larger margin? Ya see, we could go on all day here. The real way to do this would be to split the state into four quadrants and take the two best from each. Not sure what a map of that would like like though. East Central would be the only “south” school represented unless you count CG.
