I see your point and maybe I am speaking in hyperbole but I have been looking for a non-Indy based 6A power to emerge for over two decades now so maybe its just wishful thinking on my part. No one outside of Fort Wayne was happier to see Carroll break through last year than this guy. I think they, along with Crown Point have the resources, facilities, coaching staff, commitment and buy in to be what Penn was in the 90s.

Camel and CG dominated the MIC in 80% of IHSAA sanctioned sports…now we have MIC schools playing them independently so they can claim mythical conference championships to feel all warm and fuzzy about themselves..: I remember when the MIC schools were the bullies and not victims.

It is definitely premature but they were an afterthought before the current coaching staff. Affluent, growing community...checks all of the boxes. IF they beat Penn we can START having the conversation...

Weak. A lot of people are “claiming” to have evidence now because it justifies them getting trucked by Michigan. If I am James Franklin/Ryan Day and am fresh off of ass beatings and my job is in jeopardy, of course I am going to point the finger and say “but look, they are cheating.” If the evidence shows STALIONS, or another Michigan staffer doing the recording themselves, I’ll concede. Even then, it’s a level 3 violation however. The speed limit is also a “rule” that is broken daily and I could give many more examples. The irony in this whole thing is that if you connect the dots here, many of the same coaches who are “outraged” about Michigan’s practices also have a sign guy and their sign guy likely RELIED on Stalions to help them out weekly!!! Spare me the victimization.

Furthermore, Walters is also a hypocrite because in a recent anonymous coaches call, 11 of 14 Big Ten coaching staffs admitted they had a “sign guy” and that they regularly convened on Sundays after games to trade signals for opposing conference teams…much more nefarious than iPhone videos from a third party in my opinion…but keep dragging Michigan through the mud and pretending they are the only dirty ones in the business because they found a loophole in the NCAA by-laws. In fact, Michigan did not huddle regularly for the first 10 games of the season last year but did so in week 11 against Illinois because they knew Illinois had their signs…who was the DC on that Illinois squad? Ryan Walters. Michigan scored 17 points that day…by far their lowest output of the year. Spare me the nonsense. You still believe in Santa I assume?

Speaking of making yourself a victim…Walters better not burn too many bridges…Michigan may need a new DC once Minter leaves and Walters is canned after three seasons…

6-0 last week, 15-1 in the postseason, 92-17 for the year… Ben Davis vs Cathedral (@ UIndy): This one is much more intriguing than I would have thought 4-6 weeks ago as I am guilty of over analyzing Cathedral’s next day melt down against what has turned out to be a damn fine Chatard team. Both teams have things they need to clean up if they are going to dethrone CG but first things first. I think Cathedral is peaking at the right time of the season and I am going against my pre-tournament pick and am taking the Irish in a nail biter, 30-28. Hamilton Southeastern @ Westfield: No disrespect to Crown Point or Penn but in my mind this game is for the trip to LOS in 6A north. A rematch of a controversial classic from the regular season and both teams are playing at a very high level. I picked HSE as my midseason 6A north representative and switched to Westfield right before the tournament. I have gone back and forth on this one too many times to count. Gonna take the easy route and take the home team. Westfield wins another nail biter, 27-24. Warren Central @ Center Grove: Warren has a chance to make their season as they travel to Greenwood this week. It’s been a season to forget for the Warriors but they cruised through their sectional. The three time defending champs await and I’m done picking against CG in November. I think they roll here. CG wins 34-13. What say you?

The NCAA focus is Harbaugh, plain and simple. 11.6.1 pertains to staff…gray area…hence “in person.”

NCAA is in record stating UM broke the “spirit of the rule” when it comes to advanced scouting. That’s it. Now, if it’s eventually proven Stalions was on the sideline in East Landing, we will revisit things.
