  1. Jennings County is having one hell of a winter in both boys and girls basketball and those games were nail biters. I’m sure they don’t travel any worse than BD, Pike, LC, LN or Warren. Weird attempted flex. Simply put, if Carmel were welcomed back it’d legitimize the conference. Right now most of the “MIC 6” are boasting conference championships in sports they wouldn’t have were Carmel/CG still members.
  2. I’ve heard the same. I’ve said this all along. I wonder if it’s as simple as looking at the teams’ football and basketball schedules.
  3. Not at all. I am all for celebrating in a classy manner that does not crap on/belittle your opponent and is worthy based on game circumstances.
  4. Revenue/Competitive issues/Geography/travel? - 33.3% each Historic rivalries - 0.1%
  5. Gotcha. I think Carmel is the elephant in the room and the team that most likely gets left out of conference expansion. I don't know if I would go as far as saying that schools are "ducking them" but their dominance in the country club sports would give me pause as an administrator. There literally is NO PATH to a conference championship in nearly a half dozen sports if you add Carmel to the mix. Plus they don't seem to travel nearly as well as I had originally thought and as much as you'd expect from a school with an enrollment of 5400+. Avon is the next most interesting one to me as they are bottom feeders (at least the bottom half of the HCC) in nearly every sport and a chance to the MIC or this "Super Conference" you suggest would do them a ton of good as long as Carmel is not a part. I am not sure why the loyalty to Brownsburg as those corporations seem to be heading in opposite directions. Brownsburg is at the height of its athletic prowess right now in multiple sports and appears to just be getting started. I think any administrator/athletic director doing its due diligence has to take a look at the future. That future, in terms of the south side is Whiteland. In terms of the east side, its New Pal. Westfield to the north and perhaps Plainfield to the west. The Marion County schools (PM, DC, SP) add no real value in terms of revenue or competitiveness across the board in my opinion. Center Grove would dominate that potential conference in 15+ sports.
  6. You referring to Whiteland and CG I assume? Anyone else?
  7. Hence the reason they were labeled as "longshots." The MIC is interested in them more so than the other way around.
  8. Poor analogy. Even you have to see the difference between celebrating with the fans/celebrating with a "fist pump" vs flexing in your opponents' face and staring them down and holding your hand inches from the floor while running back on D. There is celebrating and then there is rubbing your opponents' face in it. You're trying too hard.
  9. 1/2 Absolutely no idea honestly.
  10. I too was taken aback by Cathedral.
  11. Getting closer. Shoe ins w/principal approval: Center Grove/Cathedral Still unsure: Carmel Longshots: ?
  12. 3/5, Carmel is placed in the correct location.
  13. 3/5 but none in the right category.
  14. Good guess. Still incorrect.
  15. Sure there will be. 60 minutes should be offering the dude bags of cash right now.
  16. Positive news coming out on Mahomes’ ability to practice/play. He’s saying all of the right things anyway. We will really find out on Sunday. Could be gamesmanship.
  17. Hey, now…they were looking at other women first…
  18. Targeting 5 schools…two a shoe in pending principal approval, one unsure, two others a long shot package deal. Why so cynical @Staxawax?
